    It's to the wheels. However, this car has been long dead. I was rear ended at a dead stop. So after physical therapy and such, I bought a 1999 EX coupe. Boosted that at 10psi for 225whp and 203 wtq

  • I'm running the SPA top mount with a Precision SC34, 1000cc injectors, Tial WG, 3 inch exhaust.

    I'm on around 11-12 psi, I've not had a chance to take it to the dyno yet, HP guesses? lol

  • The D16y7 pan is steel. The y8 is aluminum.

  • i got civic dx 1.5 on 10 psi 200,000 mile on it and bet b series on 10 psi will not win. i do it all the time if u want race i am in va

  • 10psi is relative there champ. 10psi on a gt30 is highly different than 10psi on a t25.

  • I'm making my turbo project, D16y8 Civic Ex, T04e hybrid turbo, intercoller, Ecu, 550cc injectors and much more i hope to make 400hp @ 20psi. lol

  • youll need bigger injectors and built internals to reach taht

  • yeah Dseries The best, i know that B and K series are better but u can make anything with a d16y8 also. u can have fun with 200-300hp and once u blow this engine it's cheap to replace all parts if u compare with b series an k series.

  • actually i saw a weight comparison on the engines and the h22a isent to much heavier, i heard the only problem is that it sits a little to much foward which throws it off. im going to be turboing mine here pretty soon... hopefully its holds up good! hah

  • 202 in a 2200+lb car will make that thing running quarters as fast if not faster than most Mustang GT's, and this is on a stock motor! Depending on how much money you have and how far you want to take the car, you can really lay down some SERIOUS numbers with a D16. 200-300+ is great for a DD, but hows about 650hp, and out of built 1.6L single camshaft motor! Impressive.

  • Whatever man, thats 202 at the wheel, remember that his hp at the crank is a good 20% more. With a stock d16y8 making 125-127bhp, he's prob making 100 more horses over stock. Civics of this gen can run in the 13's with this much power, and be reliable daily drivers.

  • Same way...it has nothing to do with the transmission. However, you will not get the full use out of a turbo and personally, id make it a manual swap
