این جنبشهای کمونیستی که همگی توسط شوروی شکل گرفتند شاه و خانواده سلطنتی را عامل همه بدبختی ها معرفی میکردند... اگر شاه مداخله نمیکرد، ایران به عاقبت یوگوسلاوی و کوبا و کره شمالی و ویتنام و غیره دچار شده بود... و در آغاز دهه-۷۰ میلادی بود که اسلامی های انگلیسی و بقیه هم به جبهه جنگ با شاه پیوستند، که در نهایت انقلاب ۵۷ رخ داد که نتیجه آن را همه میبنیم... به تاریخ نباید سیاه و سفید نگاه کرد.

Most f the big projects that the mollah's took decades to finish were from the pahlavi era. the subway plan was going to be completed by 1984. the khomenie airport by 1986 and would have been named koroush airport.

Most f the big projects that the mollah's took decades to finish were from the pahlavi era. the subway plan was going to be completed by 1984. the khomenie airport by 1986 and would have been named koroush airport.
There were other projects like iran building her own F A-18 and other fighters in esfehan and shiraz. iranian technition had been in the us from 1976 to study these plans.
Iran had planned to make zobahan in esfehan one of the biggest industrial complexes in the world.

By automobile i mean iran was chrning out the 2nd most amount of automobiles in asia per year. more the korea. and now look at South Korea's automobile industry. i'm sure if the revolution had'nt happend, iran would have been producing worldclass iranian cares made in iran. because all the indications were there.
lets not forget by 1984 all iranian's out of work would have started to recive welfare till found new jobs again. iran was going to have subways in the big cities by 1984

you are right, it is not a personal tribute.. but I think that this songs fits for being a tribute for the great Pahlavis.
Also want to mention that in that time it was a "cool thing" to be political and to be against shah. many idiots in that became became "politicans", including that crazy cat-killer named khalkhali !!

yes the shah did help with the coup which ousted prime minister miossadegh.. but who knows probably iran would have fallen under the iron curtain if mossadegh would have created his democratic government being the staunch supporter of the freedom movement and tudeh party in iran... Things happen for a reason even though sometimes it sucks... Shah wasn't and angel but he was better that the current regime,, and iran's economy was solid and people had jobs!!!

After "Booye Gandom". He was taken to Jail under false pretences when he was obviously taken for that song (along with the poet Shahryar Ghanbari). After that these song came.Probably by force but now that history has played out the Shah seems to be different from the Monarch he was portrayed as.He spoke of freedom against the West and that's when England with the help of President Carter who is quoted as calling Khomeini a "Ghandi figure" pumbled him using our nationalism, religion and the BBC.

"If he stayed, would Iran be better than it is today?" On that question no one knows, probably it would have been better living conditions. But its not a matter of choosing bad over worse. The regime in Iran today is one of the worst in the world, so yes Shah was better compare to this current regime.
However, he didnt do ANYTHING about the oil, it was Mossadegh who sacrificed his life for it, and Shah was Mossadeghs biggest enemy because he wanted to be king, and didnt want democracy.

Is it just me, or did we get "uglier" looking since the revolution? We once were tall, hamdsome, and muscular and then we grew long beards, smelled bad, and looked like rats because The Khomeiniac said "the 7th century of Tazi taint was the ideal time in human history" and we should try to re-create it for some bogus reason his god supposedly put in his head.
