Ronnie and Jerry was the glue behind the Rhythm section. Fortunately Elvis was able to retain Jerry after being absent from his concert shows from late '73 to early '75 due to drug and health problems that almost killed him. Emory and Duke were good but Jerry blew both of them away on Bass with more Soul.
This guy and Jaco are my main inspirations for bass...and I'm lovin' the way I play now.
