For bryan singer, Richard Donnor was not the founder of superman, so you could have had an original film but nyeh!

whats important is he meets the superhero criteria: the actor HAS to be an unknown, as richard donner said, he must be humble like reeve was, and he must be fairly young but mature. Routh had all that and more. I can't wait to see him prove himself in an action packed superman film. We know he can do an homage to chris reeve, now he'll prove his worth in a fight with aliens to the death!
