  • lol isn't he a bit old to still be hitching a ride

  • they urs?

  • very sweet! thumbs up!

  • Man that's cute.

  • 1:03 Mum: Quick, we're outta here! Hop on!!

  • i think im in love with you :) there so cute

  • haha the baby ones are so funny and clueless. and also the mother usually gets irritated having the baby one follow her and take her food so she ends up leaving it when its old enough to follow her. and the mom ones are also usually fat and greedy which is another reason why she doesnt want a second mouth eating her food when they know how lmao

  • I don't know if it's right to do that, but the video is definitely cool.

  • too much suger is not good for them, I used to feed a possum like this when he climbs down my window. but later I found some droppings which were not solid, so that was when they had diarrhoea. feed them bokchoy or any green, beans are ok too, the problem is they are not built to digest lots of carbs and proteins.

cheers... thats one lovely mom and baby possum.!

  • @madpuri Your spot on with the recommendations. Possums also need to produce gut flora by actually eating another possums droppings (to help produce good bacteria). Not something they do all night long, just when they need some medicine. Possums are one of the very few types of nocturnal wildlife that actually don't mind interacting with humans. Possums in West Australia being the exception. Awesome vid and thanks for caring.

  • @extramural Thanks for the info. I actually have seen my two rabbits share their droppings too :). must be the same with possums or any other animal.

  • so stinkin cute yo

  • '

is this can be PET PET at home

  • Awesome. We have just found an orphaned possum after her mum was killed by a car. It sucks people don't drive more carefully and consider wildlife. In Tasmania, the locals treat it like a sport and even some of the pet shop workers brag how they entice the possums with food then shoot them while drinking beer on their verandas the evil morons. Good on ya for looking out for these beaut Aussies.

  • @extramural Sounds like I need to travel to Tasmania. I'll entice the morons with beer, and then shoot them. An eye for an eye.

  • @nanashi03 There is a company that has started to harvest Possums called Game Meats and the murderers name is John Kelly. They slaughter 350,000 possums a year and send the meat to the Chinese. They make millions of dollars. The babies are ripped from their mums pouch by the shooters and killed as wildlife carers cant cope with the amount of Orphins so they are not given a chance to live.On Macquarie Island Tas Tasmanians are about to dump 300 tonnes of Fox bait that has killed 800 birds so far

  • @extramural Is there nothing the people can do to rid the world of this asshole? We have similar morons here, some are trying to be our leaders (think Sara Palin.) She hasn't been able to kill huge amounts yet, but if she ever gets more power I am sure she won't just stop at defenseless animals.

  • @PapillonOne Sarah Palin is awesome I think you must have been fed false reports.

  • @009090 You obviously don't know how to read or even watch TV if you think that skank is awesome.... try using your brain. Once you turn it on, you will figure out what the rest of us already know. She, like so many of our idiot politicians, is out for herself, she could not care less about the rest of us!

  • @nanashi03 John Kelly of Game Meats North Tasmania got approval to slaughter 350,000 Possums to feed the Chinese. He got it though Parliment because he had a few mates push it through undetected by the magority of the population. Possums are a protected Australian Nocturnal Marsupial but in Tas they treated very badly.

The fact that the shooter kill both mother and baby mean that their numbers will fall very quickly. On a recent spotlight count we saw only 2 possums in a 10 kilometer stretch.

  • Animals are very nice when treated properly and tolerated. There are two kinds of people in this world, those WITH hearts and those WITHOUT a heart. Good to see people like you all....good luck with everything!

  • Oh that's so cute. :D

    That's love right there.

  • I like these they are cute. But I find the usual American possums cute too in their own way. Especially their babies. :)

  • im preety sure the baby is as fucking big as the mom and is being carried. wtf? haha

  • where do you live that you have cute little possums???? the possums in jersey are ugly and fucking evil!!!!

  • @MUTEGIO36 Beause the creatures you see are not possums, they are opossums. Completely different. The animals in the video are found in Australia.

  • it walks like a monkey...

  • were do you live that the possum looks like that

  • that is so nice man.

  • Are they all that nice?

  • lolol NO.

Most of them are more shy, but yah my advice, dont go try and catch one because they might try to bite your face off.

  • I live in Brisbane and they are everywhere. They keep getting into my vege garden so I've resorted to using chicken wire to stop them butchering my plants. Still cute though :D

  • Awsome!!!

  • There much cuter thin those other things....!

  • where do they go when they go through that door?

  • The door leads out to a balcony. Once they got their treats, they'd usually climb down to the carport roof, run across, then hop into the trees

  • okay it's nice that u have friends with u :/

  • @pbrinkma Absolutely awesome m8!! I thought they were your pets from previous vids I watched of yours! I am amazed they are wild! And to have one come in with her baby to get a treat, just too cool!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • I think you need to research both possums and lemurs...

  • they are called brushtailed possums a common animal in australia.

  • Hahaha - oh dear. Maybe learn about animals from other countries, not just your own! Just a tip.

  • Moms are the best!

  • cool have you seen my pet possum bobbie possum

  • i have a pet one it comes onto my balcony it waits at the door for pizza. Only pat it twice but its not as cute as yours.

  • Your possum are so much cuter, and arnt that afraid of animals. The only thing we have that looks like it is a ring-tailed cat(it's nither a raccon or a cat), and I havent even seen one in the wild but I know they are around!

  • -Baby gets off n checks things out- I dun see nothin... Mom: Alright lets go. -Mom walks away and baby catches a ride on her back- lets bounce!

  • Where is your movie filmed. I am in Victoria. The Mother and Little One are so cute, and look just like the ones on my balcony. It is great how the Mother holds the food for the baby. I like watching the baby try to take the food from the Mother, now the baby that visits with the Mother is starting to take it's own food too.

  • I met these guys when I was studying at the University of Queensland, by Brisbane

  • Lol yeh i was guna say.....didn't think you guys got those things in the U.S. hehe

  • @pbrinkma Excellent Video...they are cute!

  • @pbrinkma

UQ's full of these guys. But i've never had a chance to actually feed them and pet them like that. Where exactly did you live?

  • @Holeros Just south of the Green Bridge, in Fairfield

  • They're not pets. They're wild animals. And there's no way you could give them the freedom and exercise they deserve.

It's bad enough that you already keep Sugar Gliders as pets in the US. They can glide for 100m!! And people keep them in bird cages. It's absolute cruely.

  • yea realy iz dat a possum cuz the ones in florida have a mean face and der white and grey

  • How come you guys get the cute possums and we get stuck with the mean ugly ones ;)

  • That's a big Joey, how long has he it been out of the pouch?

  • I think about a month now? It's amazing how much the little guy has grown since the first video with him I posted a couple of weeks ago.

  • These are Australian possums, that's why :) They're different than the opossums in North America.

  • Opossums are much cuter where you are-- ours are pretty ugly and rat like.
