Scarcity based debt money shapes the world in its image. We live in an abundant world with a scarcity based operating system directing the show. The likely behavioral consequences stemming from this are more fear, more competition, more greed, more violence~ all that and trillion dollar indebtedness.A great movie on this topic is The Money Fix.
Now that sounds more like taxation without representation, they really represent a small number of banks not the public, so in that sense they maybe in for a surprise when the public decides to take away their federal reserve for these actions, meanwhile one can almost guarantee they will start wars in order to create a smokescreen with which to criminalize dissent against the banks.
Actually I walk around with a $5 bill that says it maybe redeemable for silver, so in that sense it measures a commodity. In the same sense money today maybe measured in terms of petro dollars, for oil. Money can have something to measure it with, but in some sense banks do create money from nothing, except today they are now claiming all of us are to be debted for the money they have lent to the political class which has used the future work of us as collateral for the repayment.
