  • I kept on getting the feeling that this was a pop up video.

  • There is the other side of Chernobyl tradegy.

search: Chernobyl Reclaimed: An Animal Takeover

    or watch?v=c-UOHn9PvJ0

  • and i thought 9/11 was really bad

  • 2:45 ... THAT'S WHERE U SNIP Imran Zakhaev !

  • stalker

  • 50 thousand people use to live here, now its just a ghost town

  • @MrIlovegamez Nice 1 with Call Of Duty 4 ingame line words ... Cpt.Price FTW !

  • @ADOLFHITLER2010 The only people who ever say that line are Gaz (main menu cutscene thingy) and MacMillan in the actual mission. Not Price...

  • Excellent video, thanks for sharing

  • Dis ees goot plase to leeve, luuk! de trese lov eet heer! I move family now to dees plase!!

  • Holly fuh this sucks

  • did they decided to trash everything before they leave to make it creepier?

  • @N1gHtStAlKeR726 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @N1gHtStAlKeR726 the smashe up look has been done over the years by looters wich is why there now a shoot on site policy for proved looters i went there with 13 others bak in may this year ohh the smashed windows were done bi the decon teams teams to let the radiation escape from the buildings we found the long seeked legend of the mouldy dog in res blok 6 in pripyat so contaminated even the dcon teams wouldnt go near it

  • So sad to see this, I wondered how long was it safe to enter the two cities that were bombed during the Japanies war, before the two cites were rebuilt?

  • @patsaxon They were never rebuilt, it is still not safe there

  • @MeTaLandPiZzAdUdE lol wtf. There are millions of people who live there. i've been there twice and it's like a normal city.

  • @orgminyak Not millions... maybe a few around the area but inside the city? none, there are only military personnel...

  • @MeTaLandPiZzAdUdE You are referring to Hiroshima and Nagasaki right?

  • @MeTaLandPiZzAdUdE you are referring to Hiroshima and Nagasaki right?

  • @orgminyak Sorry I got mixed, Nevermind.

  • it just humbles you when you think about it right?

  • COD 4 ;) that it's

  • I wonder where the Super Mutants are hiding

  • do you like fish sticks?

  • Wait Do The Fish Turn Into Mutant Fish Frogs? XD, But Oh What A Tragedy That Was...

  • It Wasn't So Bad Either, I Managed To Grow An Extra Stomach, Now I Have Reason To Eat Alot More, Hehe

  • Would love to go there and take photos, nice video btw.

  • is it still dangours in couse of nuclear danger??

  • @wertos22 yeah

  • @wertos22 Yes, even today it is extremely dangerous to go into that area.

  • @nerijus359 aso on like a mile away?? or only round the reactor?

  • @wertos22 The further the less, but at the reactor there's the most.

  • @nerijus359 But 40times greater the people who stud there arend they contaminatid?

  • it wasnt so bad the radiation allowed me to grow 4 set of genitals on my back

  • @IFGxDanteXx Feels good man.

  • what a waste !

  • 4:55 :O kinda eerie?

  • I will once visit Pripyat I have to !

  • weeds and trees obviously dont mind radiation

  • CAN ANYBODY SAY "SCRAP METAL"

  • @davidruedy Can you say "radiated materials"? That "scrap metal" is worthless

  • @CaptainFinAmazing yeah i guess yur right but still, imagine being a scrapper in a empty city like that....hella money just sittin there

  • @asun7 I disagree with your sentiment. Such technological advances are not always about humans killing other humans. Chernobyl is by no means a result of humanity's desire to kill itself. Chernobyl was a result of human error, both in construction and operation. Throughout history many lamentable things have occurred as humanity has advanced. Unfortunately that's the nature of discovery and without it we would learn nothing. And I think we've learnt something from Chernobyl.

  • Why is everything destroyed? Did the explosion really reach that far cause I don't know it would become such a reck from no one living there. Not like rust and natural decay but broken windows and book shelves.

  • @BfoSHIZnats Looters

  • this makes me feel really bad for japan now .

  • such a disaster, chernobyl and pripyat are abondoned and unsafe now, whilst cities such as famagusta have been abandoned for over 30 years and still are due to a war fueled by greed. i dont think mankind will ever take notice and appreciate what we have.

  • wow thats sad and so scary

  • I watched one video which sounded like a warning you know which comes from the national weather service... Scary... It was a warning about radioactivity

  • watch?v=ePwRACcpQMI&feature=channel_video_title

  • Is it still radioactive?

  • @thefatchipmunkman I hope someone that knows this field can answer this question

  • @thefatchipmunkman Yes it is, but it depends where you go. In and around the reactor its still dangerous, but not most of the city of pripyat. you can pay tour guides to take you there, and they will only go to the safe areas. even though the city is "safe", you are still exposed to 50 times as much radiation as a normal place, and in and around reactor up to 1000 times.

  • you know this looks like that secret location on the glitch from mw2 in special ops

  • @MrDrjekyllandmrhyde yea the sniper mission on MW2 for sure dude.

  • all my god i would love to fish for those catfish, they would be easy to catch and give one hell of a fight !

  • Good video, but do you need a cough drop or something? Your voice is likened to fingernails on a chalkboard.

  • If they put half the thought and money into research as they did with A bombs...then maybe they would add a quadruple duple back up and fail safe....

    Japan is another object lesson.

  • if this happened with 1 reactor, what would 6 do in Japan?:( I'm scared for them.

  • @InglebertHumperdink1 It won't ever be as bad. This was a power excursion or criticality accident. The reactors were on, and the control rods were almost fully removed, but because of the coolant, the power was being held low, but experienced unstable power surges which resulted in a scram, but the control rod design was awful. It would actually displace water, increasing nuclear fission for a time, which resulted in more power spikes, caused an explosion, and stopped...

  • ..the control rods from being inserted, which resulted in the excursion. In Japan the control rods are fully inserted, they just have to deal with the decay heat, which is still a serious problem, but not as bad as what happened in Chernobyl.

  • cod 4

  • the core didn't vaporize it turned into a liquid mass then flowed through the ventilation shafts and ended up in the lower sector of the plant. were it mixed with sand and became solid. look it up it you don't believe me there are even pictures of it.

  • did u get radiation poisoning bein there?

  • Hard to believe after all these years they haven't done anything with this area yet.

  • @janeaustenfantx They cant do anything ,just too dangerous . You may be there for a few weeks and think everyrhing is good , next thing you know , you'll have serious headaches and find out you have brain cancer . Or your children are born with birth defects . Thats why we (americans) are afraid of Nuclear Power Plants in this country . These things are Horrific if something happens !!

  • @asun7

We either accept the risks and use it for energy or kill each other with it, fighting over the last drops of oil. Take your pick.

  • @Zorak720 You are wrong when you say we choose this or fight for the last drop of oil. first of all oil does not compete with nuclear energy. oil is for the vast majority a source for automobile energy. nuclear power is used for electricity, nuclear power competes with natural gas, coal, wind turbines, solar energy ect. all with the exception of coal are much environmentally safer. if we really wanted too we could invest money in natural sources of energy, but that would mean less profit for som

  • not wearing a radiation suit!!!??? :O wtf??!!

  • this is how Godzilla came about :)

  • Looks like the map in CoDWaW!

  • @MrCssmovie it is the map of cod 4

  • Av been the on call of duty!

  • soviet mother fuckers!

  • @alen749 exactly..

  • ..let us not forget the thyroid dysfunction that at one point saw multi millions resorting to crap like paxil, deployed at incrediable profit,

~ to mask the early stages of this slow teeth nashing & gnawing type of pandemic cancer

=well if you forgot or were ingnorant of the truth , as most have been keep by great effort, let us hope this latest incompatence of strict liablity won't be the reminder; better that a vast array of class action lawsuits be the soft teacher of these truths

  • Wow, stalker really captured the atmosphere and lookings perfectly

  • how can you be there cant you get radiation sickness?

  • @xXxnewkxXx Special suits.

  • Nature wins mankind :(

  • so this is where CoD: MW2 got this one mission map from :o i have always wondered "why is this town abondoned and who would abandon a amusent park?"

  • @aGroupOfGirlz It was COD4. actually.

  • WH000. AT 0: 15, Is that the actual Top of the Reactor up on its side?

I have never seen directly into the core before, post-meltdown

  • what was the point of putting a monument in a radioactive city???

  • that guy taking the reading is mot even wearing a hazmat suit good luck with his health

  • Good choice of music there. It definitely enhanced the eeriness of an abandoned city.

  • fukushima1 is the next chernobyl

  • Woah, it's like a city that they forgot to cut down the trees

  • Notice how Nature takes back over once man is gone. It's turning back into a Forest.

  • Oh this is a lovely scene from Call of duty: Modern Warefare.

    AMI RITE :D?

  • imagine in there alone at night time, wud be the creepiest thing ever

  • Pripyat is safe unless you stay in building for long enough and mess with dust and stuff

  • when you say, "at a distance of only a few hundred metres" don't you mean, "even at a distance of as much as a few hundred metres"?

  • This is nice, but make sure you realize it didn't actually metldown, lol. I would love to go here sometime.

  • @Ireland615

    It is pretty cheap actually

  • I was just a "leftenant" then, doing some wet work...

  • @Agent1W

Hopefully this is not a s.t.a.l.k.e.r. comment

  • @Cockdonut Hah, it's not. I was quoting Captain Price of CoD 4 from his narration of Chernobyl.

  • amazing its identical to COD4! the ferris wheel, hotel, swimming pool, everything!!

  • @TheGamingSpruce no shit its suppose to be

  • wtf.... booooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Vault Boy Approved City !

  • hey in another 170 years it will be safe to move back... if we havent went to wwIII by then

  • How did you get into this abandon city to take videos with out the threat of radiation? How long will his city be abandon and when can people live there again?

  • @patsaxon You can go visit it on a tour. you could survive there a month. its even got a hotel and a working cafeteria.

  • the reading on the meter is the right amount of radiation sickness to start taking place-some cells are wiped out, and you will experience a mild headache. over time, the cells will regenerate, but you just have to be so careful with radiation.

  • WHO PUT THE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY!?

  • @OoNik0oO the city was built to accomodate the workers of the power plant.

  • @OoNik0oO

    Chernobyl of course.

    dum dee duhhh

  • Looks like the ghosttown Pyramiden..

  • And that's why we should be careful with using nuclear tecnology

  • it would be fucking crazy to visit chernobyl at nights

  • crazyyy

  • 2:46 Wow CoD4 was actually true to the design of the city! That's the building you snipe Zakhaev from!

  • The world use to be green animals and plants lived on it safe clean and pulutant free and then we came along and look what it has become.

  • @DBH5601 EVEN BETTER!

  • Holy shit!!!!

A Whole city full with apartment blocs, an amusement park, all abandoned

  • @Luisofbrazil all from the ignorance of mankind :(

  • @Luisofbrazil Try a visit there... There is no oise apart from by you, no birds call and sometimes no wind, damned eerire, was like walking through a ghost town. Very moving to be there in person...

  • mankind is not ready for new technological advances that produce enormouse ammounts of energy , the first thing they do with it is formulate a way to channel the energy into destroying each other years before it is even considered as a power source . the men that have the power (government leaders) to control what is done with new found technologies are all monsters with no concideration to how they are effecting the planet for the future generations . mankind will bring its own demise

  • @asun7 We need to develop new technologies. Im not going to stand by while each dumbass country fights for no goddamn reason. Using current tech for useless wars.

  • @Aritakeclan What do you plan on doing about it then?

  • @Pr0ject2 It isnt as simple as me snapping my fingers and saying "It is done" The only way i see that happening is if by the astronomically thin chance i become president. Even then, it would be difficult.

  • @Aritakeclan oh right lol. When you said you werent going to stand by i thought you had some sort of plan of action lol.

  • @Aritakeclan Humans are born to be aggressive against each other, No one can stop the spiral of war as long as humanity lives

  • @asun7 Lol, why is there a comment referencing nuclear weapons on a video about a nuclear power accident. Also, the invention of nuclear weapons has done more for peace than the peace movement ever did.

  • @asun7 Are you kidding me? its sad so many people thumbs this up - Mankind is COMPLETELY ready for new types of energy - primarly that of FREE energy ; The earths core produces like 6 ZJ of power - the world uses about 1.5 ZJ of electricity - This power could last for about 12,000 years and since the world is constantly renewing itself it is really LIMITLESS energy - Even TIDAL energy is better ; if done right = it could power HALF the world... we need NEWER and SAFER energy like that.

  • @asun7 o my god totaly agree with u on this one, we are advancing way beyond what we can handle we need to evolve a lot more.

  • @asun7 umad?

  • Comment removed

  • hmmm . so a monument was erected for the russians that saved the world ??? there was nothin wrong with it till the russians poluted it , and I very much doubt they saved the world .. the radiation is nowhere near through its halflife yet and by now it has most definatley been around the whole world .. maybe it has been diluted by natural gasses in the atmosphere but never the less it should not be there

  • For some reason in my opinion ......... I really dont think it was an accident.

  • @TaltosGirl

it dont was an accident, it was a failed test

  • @TheCrackization I said i did not think it was an accident. I think someone did it on purpose.

  • @TaltosGirl You mean somebody planned it ? for what purpose ?

  • i see latvia 0:31

  • Total Fallout over there!.

  • if its so bad WTH ARE YOU DOING THERE!!!!!!

  • It's time to loot that city.

  • I'd like to go to prypiat. Is it true ? that in order to go to prypiat you need a tour or else they don't allow you to go.?

  • @RadioOperator01 thats what iv been told to

  • @MasterOfAllBass well....we'll know when we get there :D

  • i noticed that in one frame the person holding the thing to mesure the level of radiation in the area isnt wearing protective clothing, does anyone know at what level of exposure are you at high risk of contamination?

  • accidents like these must never happen again... can you imagen a nuclear war ? superpowers colliding ... pretty fuckt up now aint it ?

  • @Yamhal Chernobyl cant happen again in modern reactors. Chernobyl only happened because the plant was poorly designed and they were running stupid tests that they didnt have the right personel for. Chernobyl was a steam explosion not a nuke.

  • @HoOkEdOnBlEaCh yeah. apparently everybody thinks it was a nuclear explosion when it was actually a core meltdown

  • @YouJustGotOwnedXD And it is still going down.

  • its like the movie i am redgion

  • nice video man its so crazy to see how earth is take back what is hers.
