My geography professor was adamant that the Ohio-y Great Lakes region's accent is like the 'standard' accent that everyone aspires to. Which made me feel kinda special, whether it's true or not xD
I say some of mine different, depending on how tired I am or who I'm around (people with thick Southern drawls draw my accent out a little).
As far as the "no accent" debate goes, I don't see how a group can claim to have NO accent. Each region has different cultures, and different cultures have different pronunciations, so *everyone* has an accent. Whether it's distinct or not is the question.
I've been told a lot of actors and news anchors based their general accent on Northeast Ohio. Like whenever they aren't doing like German or French or something. But it is still an accent.
Don't worry, video response is coming. MK got all dolled up for the HBP party before we could do a video. :-P

AAAAAAGH! The first way you said "Oregon" drives me fucking nuts, being from Oregon.
IT'S NOT GONE, DAMN IT! IT'S RIGHT THERE! Though I have met people who honestly believe California and Washington share a border.

Then I am glad I got it right the second time. The last thing I need is your wrath Adam.
The second part of that comment is hilarious man.

And you are welcome.

Should have added eggs, and whale.
I agree with all of your pronunciations except for pecan, carribean, and crayon. Pecan goes like 19 different ways, same with carribean.

Yeah, I have no idea why I say crayon, cran, but I do.
