  • Thanks for sharing. I made last night. I had a little variation just for my taste. I cooked by cabbage on the side. However, the corned beef was great. Yummy!

  • @allisonpacino YES! Let me know how

it comes out. Please! Take care!

  • @pastryparrot1 It turned out great...You just really have to adjust the cooking time of course. I added some salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning as well.

  • Made this for dinner last night and it was delicious!! Thank you for sharing this recipe with us.

    Lisa

  • @irvinehouse YES! That makes me very happy! Thanks for letting me know!

  • I tried this on on St Pattys day. The meat came out fantastic, The cabbage and potatoes were a little too sweet. i think if I were to do it again, I would use a stout beer, and NO brown sugar. Thanks for the vid!

  • @Imasofat Thank you so much for trying it

out. I am glad you liked it. I really appreciate

you letting me know how it came out. Take care!

  • My Mouth is watering. I Love that cut of meat.

    Thank you.

  • Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too MA:) This looks great...I am not a meat eater ,but I bet I could just do the veg and it would be yummy. I would have to adjust the cooking time I'm sure. Thanks!

  • Thanks Allison! Yes, your veggies would be done a lot faster. Why not add other things like parsnips and sweet potatoes? Yum!

  • Beautiful! I am getting ready to corn my own brisket tonight so that I can do corned beef dinner next weekend. Last year I did my own corning and it was amazing! Only this year I will do the whole brisket because my family loved it so much. Have you ever done your own corning? It is a project, but the effort is worth the result. I may have to do a vid about it. Thanks! Noreen

  • I have never done it. Please, please make a video so we can learn how to do it! I can't wait!

  • Fat content is so high on Corned Beef. Somewhat lower fat if cooked separately from veggies, cooled and lean meat picked from fat. Re-heated with veggies, not as tastey, yet is lower in fat

  • You are right. There is a lot of fat in this meat. Thanks for the healthy tip!

  • Hi Maryann,

That's the Ace in the deck, Wow nice! Simple!

    Gerald

  • Thanks Gerald! I am so happy you like it! Take care!

  • Oooh that looks sooo yummy. I loved the steak tacos that I made from your recipe. 

  • YES! Thank you so much for trying them out!

  • I'm definetly going to try this. thanks!!!!

  • Great! Thanks!

  • Looks fantastic. Whenever I make corned beef & cabbage I remember my first time making it and I chopped the cabbage into small pieces. Came back to the crockpot only to find the cabbage completely dissintegrated :) Lesson learned. Will definitely give the beer a try, I've always used plain water. Thanks!

  • I never done with beer. Any big difference in taste?

  • It gives it a very distinct taste. It also makes the flavor milder. You should give it a try and let us know how it comes out! Thanks for coming by!

  • You will like it! Thanks for coming by!

  • looks good i going have try to make that

  • Thanks!

  • I will have to try this recipe! This looks great.

  • Thanks!

  • Bon apettit!

  • Wow...this looks so good! About how many people would you say that feeds? I think I might try it when my mother in law and hubby come to town in 2 weeks...there will be 4 adults and 1 child! Thanks for sharing~

  • This fed 4 of us and we had a little left over - so perfect for your party! Thanks for watching!

  • that was great.....you had me at "cooking with beer"....lol.....can you say "corned beef brisket" three times real fast?...lol...faved and fived....thanks

  • Hahaha . . .I could barely say it once . . .slowly! Thanks!

  • As much as I love your videos, Marianne, corned beef and cabbage will never look good to me like that. I hate braised beef like that. Well done beef is a sacrilege, in my opinion. The only way I'll be doing corned beef and cabbage is in a reuben or corned beef special from a nice Jewish deli.

No offense, really. To each their own, I guess. You make everything look good, though. Even this dish.

  • Hahaha . . .Julia you are funny! We made some killer Reubens at the deli in New Hampshire! It wasn't Jewish but they were delish! I bet you can make a really, really good one yourself!

  • I was going to make my version of a Roast beef special one time, but decided not to when I didn't have much in the fridge or freezer other than the ingredients for that recipe. I was just hungry & wanted to cook something quick & not have to wait for the beef to marinade.

Once I move, I should make them. Fresh homemade cole slaw and an Italian dressing marinated sirloin steak on a fresh firm Jewish rye bread with thousand island dressing & swiss cheese...mmm...I'm salivating just thinking of it.

  • My Mouth is watering now, Looks Great. Thank you.

  • Thank YOU my friend! We had it last night and it was really good! Take care!
