i have a vh45 swap too , i was actually the first in the states to do the swap as far as we know, ellisautowerkz.... anyways , i had the same problem , you need to put in a few extra lbs of air in the front , and set the toe in half a deg , and camber in 2 deg... made a world of a differance.
yeah, i remember seeing that swap...shop in Fl no?
alot of this had to do with this event being my FIRST event and there were some huge walls, kinda hindered what i was 'willing' to do.
alot of it is driver skill too, and I lack that but trying to get better.
suspension is kinda 'loose' to drift on, no camber adjustments possible, soft dampeners, mal aligned car...list goes on but the real killer was the tires they wouldnt stick worth a damn.
yeah we all are from fl... im from Ny , bu been here since 99.. a lot of it is just clutch kick the shit out of it and power through .. but i totally understand the understeer , i had new 225 kumho ats 17 up front , michellin pilot primacy in the rear( best tire ive used honestly) . but i was the same, bought oneof those ebay 8 piece suspension sets from godspeed, and stance gr+ suspension , great daily drivablity and stiff enough for basic track use . let me know if you need any help ever.
do not be afraid, more speed, clutch kick, and just full throttle. I have attacked irwindale with just a KA and got more sideways. get a welded diff and it will be a bit easier.
Todd here from SWD.... That car is sick dude! . Thanks for bringing it out. Can't wait to drive it on the 25th ;) We'll teach you how to drift the fuck out of that 450SX....

Get your own name lol. Pull the e-brake or something if you have to. Nice exit out the slide about lost control ;)
