Yea it is possible for the snake to regurgitate its meal if it feels that is is in danger. This lady at the zoo told me about this video and how snake will regurgitate to get away from preditors/danger faster. The snake obvioulsy felt like it was in danger and therefor gave up its decidedly large meal.
That's not a hippo, but that's still a big meal. Looks like a tapir. Still an impressive testament to a snake's ability to eat a pretty damned big animal (relatively speaking, anyway).
Snakes have unbelievably stretchy skin, thats why the snakes seems like it has stripes on it body, thats the scales separating. they can eat people aswell, depending on what angle the person is at.
its a tapir. hippos dont live in Brazil(duh!) and u can see its a tapir looking at the head, tapirs have kind of a snout thathelps them breath when swimming
It's a friggin' hippo! It's a friggin' tapir!! AND, It's a friggin' capybara, okay?!! Yes, it's all three of them! Together!!! - CASE CLOSED! Nobody seems to give a rat's ass concerning the discomfort of the snake who, for the amusement of its human tormentors, was forced to regurgitate its meal. What the hell are you all thinking?!! Evil sh*t is going on in the world, and all you voyeurs are motivated to do is to ask what kind of animal is it vomiting???
ummmmmmmmmmm, 22-year-old-dipshit-who-thinks-he's-lived-life-and-knows-everything-about-everything??? From all I've said concerning the welfare and suffering of the snake in the aforementioned posting, is the only thing you've come away with the question as to whether or not it is possible for a snake to regurgitate it's meal?? Are you kidding? Are you not getting the thrust of my message? There is so much unnecessary suffering in our world, why must we go into the snake's world to molest it?
i know it is possible for a snake to regurgatate its meal my question was if you can fource a snake to regergatate.and i dont think i know every thing about everything.and i know it is screwed up i hate how any living being is abused.
Now that you're a bit more civil with me, I'll be more civil with you. Addressing your comment as to whether or not it is possible for a snake to regurgitate what it has consumed, yes, it will in fact toss up it's meal in order to escape any perceived danger. I figure if one is molesting the snake, it will feel that it's safety is fairly compromised and will attempt to lighten it's load in order to make its getaway. Your dismay concerning abuse is encouraging. Others should speak out, as well.
yes i understand what you mean.mayby these peaple were scared that the snake might not be able to digest the hippo tapir capybara thing and were trying to make it stay alive?but that is very unlikely.
In a natural environment, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that a snake that large knows what it's doing. Snakes are capable of consuming animals as large as deer. A tapir pales in comparison. No, I'm relatively certain the people who taped the footage, just wanted to exploit the situation for the sake of voyeurism at the expense of the poor animal. "Let's see what happens if we bug the stupid snake." It's just senseless, insensitive and, frankly, ridiculous. Why provoke the worst in us for this?
That video needs someone to start chantting GO, GO, Go, over and over, just to give that snake some support. I was wondering how he breathed during that regurgitation, cause he stopped in the middle and started to roll. I thought he had suffocated.
Yes I know, I've got the stuff.^^ I really think he did need some support cause I bet he got done with that and went, "What, no applause? You get this free show and I get no respect?"
Ummmmm. Hippos live in Africa! Not South America! And if the anaconda was ever stupid enough to attack a real hippo, It would be chopped to pieces! Hippos have no natural predators. Everything leaves them alone, for good reason! Even if an Anaconda grew to be 60ft. long, it would be destroyed!
thats some hardcore shit... that honestly like has to hurt. and yea, its prolly been posted 100 times but constrictors spit up their food to be able to defend themselves without being weighed down. otherwise a snake would be easy game right after they eat.
Snakes don't always know what their body can handle, and have been known to die due to swallowing something too big. One example of this was in recent years where a burmese python died trying to swallow an aligator. The sides of the python split open. i;ve heard himilar stories about pythons eating farm pigs and dying. look up "burmese python dies eating alligator"
it was a tapiar. the pig type thing that lives in south america, not a hippo. perhaps the people throught the snake would have died if it did not spit it back up.
hardly any surprise it regurgitated its meal with all those idiot people hanging around bugging the snake. if a snake feels threatened when its just eaten something huge they're left with no choice but to get it back out.

Dum motherfucker, that was a capibara, and anacondas are found in southamerica, hippo in africa, you dont know your animalsgey a enclclopedia dumass motherfucker
It's not a hippo or a tapir. If you look at the toes and the shape of the head which is blunt instead of narrowed at the mouth, you will see it is probably a capybara, a very large south american rodent that lives and shares the waters with the snake's habitat. Anyway, they ran the video of the swollowing backwards.
Everybody is saying it's fake and it's not a hippo and whatever. Either way, it's freaking incredible. Let's see one of you swallow something four times your size without chewing. Yeah, that's what I thought.
Can anyone else testify to the ignorance of snippersnap for thinking an herbavorous organism can liquify, eat, and make a habitat out of an anaconda. F*** this guy is making me mad for his lack of intellegence. "Osmosis" dumass must be in second grade not to know osmosis refers only to water transfer
Just for your knowledge: That is an anaconda.....anacondas WILL regurgitate to attack again.....they have a nasty disposition and are known to kill for "sport".
give ME a break Swede... the video is obviously running forwards. See the way is slides off at the end? If it were running backwards getting over the first part would take the longest. Also I think you are getting pythons confused with some greek letters or something. They are actually snakes.
the snake regurgitates its food when it is exhausted, and it's exhausted b/c it was fighting all of those humans messing with it. It's like when you eat, then go for a 5 mile run. You want to throw up too afterwards.
Is that even a hippo? It doesn't look like one. I actually saw photos from 2006 where an anaconda regurgitated a pregnant Ewe because it couldn't fully consume it. Another anaconda had burst because he tried to swallow an alligator. Anaconda's and alligators do not naturally coexist, but in the Florida everglades many people let their too-large pet anaconda's into the wild, and thats how it happens.
Tapirs emit enzymes from tiny pores which desolve the inner organs of the anaconda (their favorite food,) and then absorbs the nutrients directly back into their bodies through the skin. The boney plates on the tapir's back assist it in scraping the meat from within the carcass so that it is more easily digested. The tapirs mouth, though not adapted to feeding as with other animals, instead uses it to make silly faces which charm the snake into coming closer so that they may be attacked.
Dude your full of shit... tapirs dont eat snakes. They eat vegetation, and organic material found on riverbeds. Where the hell did you get this info. If you dont believe me look up the tapir on wikipedia, dicitionary, or any other resource for that matter
Tapirs are indeed one of the most dangerous animals to inhabit the forest canopy. They are sly and cunning, and research has recently been uncovered to suggest a close relation to rabbits and hares. It strikes me as funny that you do not know these things. The tapir's sensitive hearing assists it in locating the anaconda. When found, a tapir will make funny faces which will provoke it's prey to laughter so that it may lunge directly into it's mouth to consume it from within.
Dude seriously i think your thinking of another animal and calling it a tapir. tapirs diet simply consists of vegetation. It is on the endangered species list if you look it up. Why dont you look it up while your rambling on about stuff you dont know about.
I know precisely what a tapir is, thanks very much. It is fast becoming obvious to me, however, that you may be confusing the tapir with its vegetarian cousin, the capybara. Though closely related to the tapir, the capybara is indeed a vegetarian; and, I dare you to deny this, because I can provide ample proof that it is. Not only that, but the capybara isn't even on the endangered species list. Checkmate! You have just proven that it is YOU who does not know what he is talking about.
"According to the IUCN, Baird's Tapir is in danger of extinction, and in 1996 it was officially classified as "Vulnerable. Baird's Tapir may be active at all hours and is neither diurnal nor nocturnal. It forages for leaves and fallen fruit, using well-worn tapir paths which zig-zag through the thick undergrowth of the forest"
There is that enough for your stupid ignorant ass. Look the animal up you fool. Its not a carnivore. It has five different species. I provided you one for an example. All are close to endangerment and are herbavores you fing idiot
This is actually a tapir which was in the process of digesting an anaconda through its skin by osmosis. Its one of the many little known wonders of the animal kingdom. The tapir only backed out of the snake's mouth as it had just had its fill. When all the meat is gone, the tapir will inflate the skin and turn it into a tent. Like humans, tapirs attract their mates by showing them they can provide shelter and a sense of security.
WFT?! osmosis... U must go to the school of dum f**ks... osmosis is just the diffusion of water molecules through a membrane. An organism cannot feed using osmosis. ROFL
Anyone reading this... this guy snippersnap, hes jsut being stupid. He knows that what hes saying is nonsense and is just trying to sound intellegent. WTF would a tapir make a tent out of the skin of the victim. Not to mention that it would be kinda hard to do that with bones in the carcus. Or will you say that they absorb the bones by "osmosis" as well... LMFAO!!!
First off, I have explained previously why tapirs make tents. It is to show the female of the species they would make good providers. As for osmosis, yes, as I've said before, tapirs emit very strong enzymes from the pores in their skin that liquefy the flesh and bones of their victims once they're inside them. What doesn't get absorbed, gets pushed out the mouth to show the females there is ample food in the "tent;" yet another sign the host is a good provider and candidate for mating with.
"It is named for the American naturalist W. M. Baird who...observed the animals.
Like the other Latin American tapirs, Baird's Tapir is commonly called danta by people in all areas. In the regions around Oaxaca and Veracruz, it is referred to as the anteburro. Costa Ricans, Panamanians, and Colombians call it macho de monte, and in Belize, it is known as the mountain cow."
Omg that was really disturbed, but sometimes i see an anaconda eating a person ok ok sound impossible but some cases are true, even the snake suffer bulimic.
the hippo was definately regurged. how do you explain the guy walking forward behind the snakes head, and the slime and such dripping as the feet emerge?
To add to that, if it was being played backwards, you'd still see the jaw moving to manipulate the food into it's mouth. Definetely harrassed this poor thing until it puked.
Actually, if you watch, the spit comes out of it's mouth and dangles off the thing's legs. It's actually regurgitating it, I doubt the spit would be there and magically suck back into it's mouth like that..
I hate things that are forced to vomit, too! Especially snakes. But, I just like hating lots of things. Maybe it'd have been cooler if a building had fallen on the snake and the hippo, crushing them both. That'd be cool; 'cause, I love to hate things for which I have a strong dislike! Neeto!
I can see how one might think, from the "wide receiver," that its Ronco's limited edition "San Francisco 49er's" rotary phone, with special foghorn and icecream maker attachment; but, maybe it is actually is a tapir giving birth to a hippo. Didn't you see the baklava? If it's baklava, which I'm almost certain it is, you just know that a hippo has to be involved in some way.
That actually looks like a Tapir not a Hippo. Especially if it is in Brazil.

the snake regurgitates its food when it is exhausted, and it's exhausted b/c it was fighting all of those humans messing with it. It's like when you eat, then go for a 5 mile run. You want to throw up too afterwards.
Bobbio86 5 years ago
Is that even a hippo? It doesn't look like one. I actually saw photos from 2006 where an anaconda regurgitated a pregnant Ewe because it couldn't fully consume it. Another anaconda had burst because he tried to swallow an alligator. Anaconda's and alligators do not naturally coexist, but in the Florida everglades many people let their too-large pet anaconda's into the wild, and thats how it happens.

wasn't an anaconda
monet24atl 4 years ago
Are you referring to my incessant delusional ramblings, or the act of crawling into a snake's mouth and consuming it from within?
Snippersnap 5 years ago
wow, this is like me in the toilet.

Snippersnap 5 years ago
Dude your full of shit... tapirs dont eat snakes. They eat vegetation, and organic material found on riverbeds. Where the hell did you get this info. If you dont believe me look up the tapir on wikipedia, dicitionary, or any other resource for that matter
ballafolife06 4 years ago
Tapirs are indeed one of the most dangerous animals to inhabit the forest canopy. They are sly and cunning, and research has recently been uncovered to suggest a close relation to rabbits and hares. It strikes me as funny that you do not know these things. The tapir's sensitive hearing assists it in locating the anaconda. When found, a tapir will make funny faces which will provoke it's prey to laughter so that it may lunge directly into it's mouth to consume it from within.
Snippersnap 4 years ago
Dude seriously i think your thinking of another animal and calling it a tapir. tapirs diet simply consists of vegetation. It is on the endangered species list if you look it up. Why dont you look it up while your rambling on about stuff you dont know about.
ballafolife06 4 years ago

It forages for leaves and fallen fruit, using well-worn tapir paths which zig-zag through the thick undergrowth of the forest"
ballafolife06 4 years ago
There is that enough for your stupid ignorant ass. Look the animal up you fool. Its not a carnivore. It has five different species. I provided you one for an example. All are close to endangerment and are herbavores you fing idiot
ballafolife06 4 years ago
This is actually a tapir which was in the process of digesting an anaconda through its skin by osmosis. Its one of the many little known wonders of the animal kingdom. The tapir only backed out of the snake's mouth as it had just had its fill. When all the meat is gone, the tapir will inflate the skin and turn it into a tent. Like humans, tapirs attract their mates by showing them they can provide shelter and a sense of security.
Snippersnap 5 years ago
WFT?! osmosis... U must go to the school of dum f**ks... osmosis is just the diffusion of water molecules through a membrane. An organism cannot feed using osmosis. ROFL
ballafolife06 4 years ago
I suppose next you're going to tell me that tapirs do not make tents out of the skins of their victims. ROLF!
Snippersnap 4 years ago
Anyone reading this... this guy snippersnap, hes jsut being stupid. He knows that what hes saying is nonsense and is just trying to sound intellegent. WTF would a tapir make a tent out of the skin of the victim. Not to mention that it would be kinda hard to do that with bones in the carcus. Or will you say that they absorb the bones by "osmosis" as well... LMFAO!!!
ballafolife06 4 years ago
First off, I have explained previously why tapirs make tents. It is to show the female of the species they would make good providers. As for osmosis, yes, as I've said before, tapirs emit very strong enzymes from the pores in their skin that liquefy the flesh and bones of their victims once they're inside them. What doesn't get absorbed, gets pushed out the mouth to show the females there is ample food in the "tent;" yet another sign the host is a good provider and candidate for mating with.

Quote from wikipedia:
"It is named for the American naturalist W. M. Baird who...observed the animals.
Like the other Latin American tapirs, Baird's Tapir is commonly called danta by people in all areas. In the regions around Oaxaca and Veracruz, it is referred to as the anteburro. Costa Ricans, Panamanians, and Colombians call it macho de monte, and in Belize, it is known as the mountain cow."

who cares if hes eating the hippo or puking him up! that's amazing either way!!
candy5913 5 years ago
the hippo was definately regurged. how do you explain the guy walking forward behind the snakes head, and the slime and such dripping as the feet emerge?
totegefuhle 5 years ago
If "backward" were "outward" and "upward" was stationary, then the saliva would be contemporaneous.
Snippersnap 5 years ago
it cant be reversed because the liquid stuff which comes out of the snakes mouth with the hippo looks weird if it was reversed.
otterbou 5 years ago
To add to that, if it was being played backwards, you'd still see the jaw moving to manipulate the food into it's mouth. Definetely harrassed this poor thing until it puked.

come on, the regurge part is obviously just the swallowing played backwards in slo-mo.
mtbpozz 5 years ago
if that were the case the whatever that thing was wouldn't have the snakes digestive fluids on it.
shiek 5 years ago
Actually, if you watch, the spit comes out of it's mouth and dangles off the thing's legs. It's actually regurgitating it, I doubt the spit would be there and magically suck back into it's mouth like that..

I hate snakes...that made me hate them more that damn hippo should have stepped on him! lol
kiffy75 5 years ago
I hate things that are forced to vomit, too! Especially snakes. But, I just like hating lots of things. Maybe it'd have been cooler if a building had fallen on the snake and the hippo, crushing them both. That'd be cool; 'cause, I love to hate things for which I have a strong dislike! Neeto!

Nah, dude... it's totally a rotary phone. One of those big, box ones. You don't see the receiver?
Either that, or a San Francisco 49er.
Kunami 5 years ago
I can see how one might think, from the "wide receiver," that its Ronco's limited edition "San Francisco 49er's" rotary phone, with special foghorn and icecream maker attachment; but, maybe it is actually is a tapir giving birth to a hippo. Didn't you see the baklava? If it's baklava, which I'm almost certain it is, you just know that a hippo has to be involved in some way.
