  • hey ı m looking for 3d tv s and found yours thanks

  • cant wait for 3d contact lenses, to...

to see my friends in 3D on me iphone??

jee i'd love a big 3D walk in da forest

  • Shit that guy at 1:21 was amazing, hes actually out of the screen........amaizing stuff that 3D.

  • Does it need glasses or not ?

If no glasses, can you see images come out of the screen ?

  • i donts see nothing in 3d

  • @flatin12

You're looking through a non 3d display of a video taken by a 2d capture camera

  • Wow! I can really see the 3D effect on a 2d Youtube video! WTF? Why try and demonstrate a 3D TV in a 2d environment? Ponderous...

  • aaamai zegg, zijn er hier ook belgen op jouw tube

  • what if i had just one eye?

  • why not hollogram tv

  • Philips made a 3D TV with NO Glasses!!!!!!! , It was made in Holland in 2009 !

    Philips Still Number 1....

  • haha plat vlaams hoor ik hier :P

  • 3d blueray player with a 120 hz monitor works well with the 3d shutter glasses and 3d film, why buy a 3d tv

  • this is great for peoples wich can only see with 1 eye like me,and the 3d effects are great,no more glasses wich becomes pointless for me.

now if there will be future more a special algoritm wich turns regular channels into 3d would be really great.

  • @johneymute Unfortunatlely you really need 2 eyes to view stereo images no matter what technology you use...

  • i hope its nog the same as the screen on the fujifilm finpix real 3d w1, that 1 was just like an giftcard.

  • Hmmm got a question.. isnt this just a 3D movie made and put on .. im sure u can do this on a HD tv too but how about whn u watch series will u be able to experience 3d??

  • its very good this

  • crappy crapedi crap crap

  • What is the point of buying a 3d tv that requires glasses? I watch journey to the center of the earth blu Ray in 3d on my regular old HDTV. Four sets of cheap 3d glasses were inside the blu Ray movie case. I hope they do the same with avatar 3d in 2011. But the non-glasses idea here seems promising.

  • @PeePulz

you and you have to watch in in fucking red and blue wow what a cool movie was that.

the glasses that come with the tv are just transparant white

  • wtf? i thought 3d meant that it things came out of the tv?? can someone plz explain??

  • @kemalsekic idiot u need special glasses to watch the TV on 3D ...duhhhh

  • @j0emax wrong wearing the glasses IS the cheap method. proper tv in 3d will not use the glasses duh...

  • @kemalsekic It just looks like it, it doesn't really happen :D

  • Well since Philips rules over Europe with its EISA rewards on the regular bases(it is like Philips subscribed to victories lol)every year for...what 18 years in last 19 years as lead inovator+best 2DTV,I would be very badly surprised to learn that there was no improvment for last 3 years.

  • i once saw one of these about ten years ago in the high tech campus in eindhoven, really astonishing.

  • If it is any thing near the excellent quality of Avatar 3D, but without the glasses it will be here to stay forever. Watching Avatar in 3D was amazing.

My HD 72" DLP is becoming ancient history faster than VCR vs Beta lol.

    rockey99

  • it's good that phillips doesn't require the viewers to use 3d glasses anymore just to watch 3d images. let's hope for the best!

    ledtvscreens(dot)org

  • 3d is so damn old and now the try to hipe it... Its overated and not good for your eyes to. I go wait 5 years before i even think about buying a 3d tv

  • is this urs?? u bought this from the shopp???

  • truth is some of the tvs already out could do 3d with a firmware update but they just want to sell tvs plus for movies you need a 3d blu ray player -_-

  • hm, so on these new 3D TVs, glasses or n glasses, will all the TV shows be in 3D? or just selected programs? like will every show you watch/game/movie, automatically become 3D, or only the ones specially made for the TV?

  • i got a headache already

  • I want one of these 3d tvs that dont need glasses. Hopefully they'll improve on this glasses-free technology. I dont want to look like a dumbass with the stupid glasses on.

  • Comment removed

  • @hpis2cool Shit, lol. oh well.

  • @killervirus unfortunately Philips discontinued the WOWvx 3d technology because they didn't want another format war inside the industry, but they might bring it back once the 3d TVs with 3d glasses market matures enough.

  • @killervirus it's impossible for this humans to do that at this time. Cool will be to be only glasses without TV

  • @killervirus our eyes arent capable of it. its gonna take a really really long time for such technology to exist. the tv would need to display halographic images for us to look at it in 3d witout glasses. the halographic technology exists of course but i dont know how it would look like coming out of a tv.

  • @sarmenhb look for autostereoscopic 3dtv, it uses tiny lenticular lenses on the display making it possible to view 3d without the glasses, because each image for each eye is displayed at slightly different angles...

  • @killervirus i saw this yesterday in one exhibition , it doesnt need glass but the quality wasnt very good , they still need time to improve it.... but i like the idea of 3D TV without glasses... just think if 5 person in a familly want to watch a movie in 3d they must buy 4 -5 glassess !!! this is totlay shit

  • Comment removed

  • @killervirus talk to alice

  • @killervirus Your not going to look like one if you are watching tv by yourself or with your friends...

  • No, you don't, please do a little research on the Philips 3D technology...

  • Philips - best fot Tv's

  • Doesn't look 3D, but that's probably because it's a Youtube video. Probably look good in real life.

  • @sambo110 u neeeeed glasses

  • I thought this was a 3D TV that you didn't need glasses to get the 3D effect?

  • @sambo110 What? Of course it's 3D, I can see it right now. Something must be wrong with your monitor, I suggest you buy a new one.

  • @JigenD Nah, a whole new iMac would cost too much. I can see how it looks 3D, but it's honestly not really that amazing, which is why I said maybe you have to see it in person to see it better.

  • the novelty doesnt wear off i bought nvidia 3d vision and its sick any one that says its a novelty doesnt follow the industy 3d it is cool it always has been if they use it for proper applications it could be quite useful or fun. As for the issues with buying a tv then seeing it a year later with a signifigantly lower price is called economics if you can wait and not buy on impulse you wont be wasting money.P.S this isnt 3d its 2d with more of a depth of feild so dont expect it to jump out atyou

  • I think this is a novelty that will last. At first everybody thought HD Tv was silly, and unnecessary. But a lot of people have got it now, and soon everybody will. The same's going to happen here methinks. It sounds like it could possibly have a lot of potential.

  • Phillips are cancelling their 3d tvs because of trouble with their economics...

  • nope they releasing this tv this year lol

  • in the future i wonder if there will be any long term effects of watching 3D all the time lol.

  • what an odd looking dildo

  • @ScrewAttackChina HA lool

  • @ScrewAttackChina Light bulb

  • It happend to me with HDTV... I bought mine 2yrs ago for 1,500 and 1yr after same tv is now 450 which made me mad as hell get real don't be hypnotised by the hype wait for the prices to drop ..

  • Watch it guys this is pure hype the prices are set high because they wait for hdtv to phase out... But you save up to buy one or if you have money you buy like a fool give it a few months the prices will plummet other guys will have spent their money and just see how they feel after the novelty wears off ...

  • $15.000.00 :( I will never have 1

  • Okay - I spoil myself rotten. but 15,000.. for a t.v. it's not even about the money.. that's just retarted. i don't care what the hell it does. it's a t.v.

  • sry but ur stupid

who told u that it will be 15.000.00 ?

i saw already some 3d tv´s on market

and sony got a 46 inch 3d TV for only 6000.00 €.yeah its alot but not that much as u say..

  • i read they are going to start on a 2 - 3k$ price range...

  • Because for this one you dont need glasses.

  • I've been looking and hearing alot about 3d tv's recently and obviously a demo on a 2d screen wont do them justice, We need demo TV's in shops damn it.

If it really does come out of the screen with no glasses. I am definetly getting one :)

  • this doesnt need glasses i saw it in the sbs place

  • meh... i dont see anything different to other tv;s

  • Probably cuz it's filmed.

  • retards, this is philips, you don't need glasses, but you won't see this in your home for a long time because it is toooo expensive at the moment

  • haha.. weird ass video

  • Can anybody explain what's the brand new effect one sees when watching anything on this 3D TV? I don't see any new in this demonstration.

  • Hey u cant see in this video...when u see the aTV by itself the thimgs look real as if its kept in front of you

  • Cool, thanx for you're reponse. I hope I personally see one of those soon.

  • not soon...you can even see without 3D tv, and now. You need a 3D glasses, a red blue glasses (homemade is possible), and search youtube for 3D videos

  • Actually, they said no 3D glasses or anything like that is needed for watching that TV.

  • That's not true, They just aren't the same blue and red 3d glasses. That's why its blurry, you need the glasses.

  • Ya for this TV you dont need glasses, i said if you dont know about it.

  • Man you are going to feel like a dumbass

  • I don't see why they bother, you'll never (well, maybe not never) be able to watch 3D on You Tube w/o the proper hardware (glasses).

  • are there any actual 3d TVs that don't require you to use glasses. What if you are wearing prescription glasses, how would you be able to watch 3d TV?

  • this one. Wear them underneath. take a step back and think slowly.

  • yeah... this tv is a 3D tv that doesnt require you to use 3D glasses... its called "autostereoscopy"

  • I believe they're working on TVs that don't require glasses, but I don't think they're in the market yet. And you can wear the 3d glasses over your prescription glasses, it won't affect anything.

  • @seljuq70 good question

  • Comment removed

  • I still think this is a gimick by manufacturers to sell over priced consumer electronics.

  • The reason we cannot tell it is 3D is because the camera filming the screen needs to physically move left/right or up/down to demonstrate the viewing angle's effect on the image. It has nothing to do with the screen we are viewing on.

  • I can't believe that the avatar game works in 3D!

  • you can play lot of games in 3d in pc but you need to wear glasses ;)

  • No you dont, research a bit more - its on utub.

    you DO NOT need glasses

  • actually 4 me I can actually kinda see that's it is 3D and I have at least 6 or 7 yr old moniter

  • GREAT demonstration...sucks I had to go out and buy a $2000 monitor JUST so I can see this video though.... jackass

  • ha haa so in the future we can see upskirts, nice!

  • Theres really no way we can see this on youtube, the screens were viewing the movie on arent 3d screens

  • finely some who knows something about 3d these idiots who coment they don't see it 3d or it's fake are just jalous because they can't aford 1

  • is that in belgium? cuz they speak flemish :p

  • oh my days, watching porn on 3D tv will be great, i ll jack off less than a second lol. technology is good.

  • the movie avitar, is suppose to be released in 3=d format on blue ray. this screen is currently about 15,000$ but they are hoping after release the prices will go down. I currently design 3-d models for this format, and have personaly seen a 3-d plasma screen. When it does come out to the public it will blow your mind. Oh ya no glasses needed just two eyes and a brain. it is said that it will be intro on phones and personal devises first in japan in 2010.

  • Two eyes that work well with 20/20

  • OMG elkav, you just keep on getting dumber and dumber. Just stop your posting now before you create a black hole with your stupidity.

  • Througly

  • Just remember to do it 'throughly', you academic;)

  • You are an idiot hahahaha:D

Obviously if there is a visible 3D effect you won't be able to see it on a regular screen.

God just think for a minute man. I should kick you back to physics class. OMG

  • No mate, you are actually a big RETARD ! you are seeing it in 2D not 3D you Fool!!!

  • Of course if its not a native cg production two cameras will be needed... but so what? We'll see high end productions shot with three cameras to begin with I think. Two on bottom for 3D, one on top to support regular HD... So then our editing suites will need to create an EDL for the stereo image based on cuts made offline with the single image. It's all very possible... and innevitable. Then the tri-lens camera will debut and everything will work.

  • ...just because it's computer-generated doesn't mean it can't be 3D. Wow. I can name a dozen counter examples to that. Let's see. Didn't Polar Express come out in 3D? That new movie "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs". Shrek 4D at Universal.

  • Are you retarded? It's because it's been captured by a camera, not a person.

  • waar kan ik azo een 3d tv kopen ???

  • You can't see this in 3D because it only works if you look at directly, since a human has 2 eyes and a camera doesn't. Idiots :P

  • u cant even tell its 3d cus ur movin the fuckin camera too much! but nice try

  • If the camera does´nt move laterally absolutely nothing proves the image being 3D. The result looks 3D in our 2D screen! It demonstrate to be an effect of the rotation of the object. I believe who made the film does not knows about 3D, but why Philips does not shows it properly?

  • Ja, der zijn wazige stukskes bij :p

  • B&W, COLOR, SD, HD, 3D....4D?!!

    *sigh...* xD

  • no we can't tell. especially with you moving the fucking camera around

  • lol dude u have no idea how much you just made me laugh

  • lol i do what i can. i do it for the fans

  • you right. that's bullshit 3-D.

    paper and plastic 3D

    Waste of time 3-D.

  • nice

  • gimmicky

  • crnoseme you're lucky to have seen it. I wish I had. According to wowvx website, Philips has decided to shut down its 3D operation. quote: "at the close of business (5pm CET) on June 30th, 2009."

  • Imagine how directing and film making is going to evolve, and how the movie theater experience will change. This is badass.

  • Yeah i agree, but philips WoWvx are shutting down! so what next for the domestic market? back to silly bloomin 3D glasses from the 1950s i suppose :-(

  • Why?

  • O que faz Vale Do Lobo aqui nesta demonstração?

Why is Vale Do Lobo here in this demo?

  • I look forward to the day of 3D porn

  • 3d chiks with diks to poke you in the eye. Are you sure. We all get those ads once in a while. Even if you dont intend

  • Without the reflection from surrounding objects it actually does look like it's popping out of the screen. This should be so much better then using those damn shaded glasses for current 3D films, I went and saw journey to the centre of the earth the other day and it looked like sh*t because I trouble focusing on the image properly.

  • why i am watching this lol there is no way i can see the 3d

  • perhaps that coz your watching a 3d tv on a 2d computre...

  • genius!

  • WOW, it works. I can see it in 3D here on Youtube!

  • A little correction, not for the TV but until the technology is widely used.

  • 3-5 years

I saw 3D TV in person yesterday, it was amazing! The gaming is gonna be incredible, plus i saw a movie preview with it maaaan...

The R&D department at one of the largest telcom companies in the world estimates 3-5 years.

  • When Does the tv come out??

  • Phillips uses depth mapping....not the best way to manage parallax.

  • Every lenticular and barrier uses depth maping.

  • Not all do.....some use 7 tile imaging, A company I know of uses 9 tile imaging. Phillips uses Depth Mapping which also has its shortcomings.

  • ps3 was built for this kind of technology a head of time knowing this kind of tv will be out there X box would look better in sure but the plan to have another system by then im sure unless they do a upgrade

  • tv not 3d

  • no this is a 3d tv without glasses!!!

i saw it in holland on the computer fair

  • Thats gay

  • some people are so fucking stupid that thinks they are gonna see a 3d effect with their regular monitors...

  • yeah 10 years, thats what i read in newspaper today, the said the make u feel as u part of the movie by 2019...amazing

i cnt wait, i ll be a tv star hahahahaha

  • COOL

  • lol 10 years from now lol more like this year.

  • Wanna be able to watch tv in 3d? easy just cover one eye with hand and ur 3D ready!!! lol

  • I have one eye only, i tried to cover it, and i could only get the sounds.

  • wtf??

  • the only way for you to see the 3d would be to be there in person.

  • It works!10 years from now!

  • wow! this means virtual reality is not far away

  • Displayed at CES:

LCD TV prototypes from Sony and LG Electronics Inc. impressed with smooth-looking, high-definition, full-color 3-D movies. Previously, plasma and rear-projection sets were the leading HDTV candidates for 3-D home viewing, but clearly, LCDs are contenders too. Theyre viewed with cheap polarized glasses of the kind used in 3-D movie theaters. The sets are at least a year away from the market.

(Polarized filters not LCD shutter glasses!

    (No non-sweet spots!

    (2D compatible!)

  • its realy cool but the colour is sometimes really bad but if u wach it a while u will get use to it i was waching it for 2 minutes it felt like the movie was happening outside of the TV

  • belgjes

  • Well... there goes my inventing 3DTV!

For the benefit of the English only, it works by separating the left and right video images at the TV screen rather than at the glasses on your face.

Not mentioned is YOU have to be at the 'sweet spot' (hopefully there are several)

where the left image meets the left eye and

the right image meets the right eye.

For live action, a camera with two lenses is required.

For CGI and video games, 2 points of view like

'Monsters vs Aliens' March 2009 in REAL3d!

  • Completely right.

There are multiple sweet spots, but when you're not in one, a headache will follow in less than five minutes :-)

The technology itself is amazing, but some more development is needed in order to be able to enjoy this for day-to-day usage.

  • It will happen. no doubt about it

  • definitely DO NOT want to watch porn on one of those.

  • LOL.. that would be a riot to watch that in 3D rofl!!!

  • It only looks like a normal TV because it is being videoed. If it was real life, it would look like those 3D cinemas but you would not need glasses =)

  • exactly. I saw those in one of our grosery stores...They use it as advertisement displays. effect - just unbelievable. Like a hologram.

  • cool in het vlaams

    they are speaking dutch (Belgium)

  • yup they are :)
