been running them sly few years ago still works but i replaced them with single GTS 450 as two of this made a lot of heat but really nice card from Nvidia
@MrDarkone707 Yeah it's still not too bad a card. Sure it's several years old now but it's still a bit faster in DX9 and DX10 games than the new GT430 so if you can get one real cheap go for it. But for new pricing you might want to look at a GTS430 or GTS450 and get newer features like DX11 and bit stream audio built in for HDMI.
i got the same card but i down clock to 550/1200/900 it's not because it ran hot or overheat but because it ate power like crazy and that card that's on the pc that's only use for BT download and i ran 7 gaming computer at the same time so i had to made this choice because of power saving :(
Well, dude, what Power Supply do you have ? I need to buy a new one ,and i dont know what PSU would be cheap and good. I need a new one because this video card needs a PCI-e 6 pin connector ...
Thanks.I will get from Sirtec.Well,it's a good brand,at least that is what i hear.Cooler Master,Corsair and Thermaltake have too high prices. And Antec and OCZ,i dont know...
Yours is loud megadeth? Wow mines loud when the PC boots but as soon as the NVidia drivers load in they take control of the fan speed and it quiets right down. Its damn near silent in windows!
I recently bought a zotac 9500GT I can install the card itself but im not sure where to connect the sound cable. I don't have a sound card but my sound components are built in to the motherboard.Where would I plug it in?
They are all the same thing for the most part EVGA, XFX, Zotac etc are all "reference" Nvidia parts and they all have a lifetime warranty inc Zotac. The Zotac was cheaper, factory OC'd and came with the HDMI adapter and Sound on DVI something some XFX cards still don't give you to this day! Example I just installed an XFX 9800GT for a customer the other day and it didn't have the audio or HDMI adapter. I thought that was weak. Zotac was one of the first brands to include these two options.
oh i see when i went to go go buy my graphics card i went with evga both graphics cards i have are evga as i like the company and its the biggest graphics card company now but only some models of the 9800gt include the hdmi etc.. some do not and i heard that zotac cards have an orange led light in there graphics card is that true?
Mine doesn't have an LED light on it and none of the other Zotac models I've seen at work do either. Weird. Yeah Zotac just started doing the lifetime warranty this year. The card has a base 2 year warranty on it but when you register the card online they give you the lifetime warranty for free.
ah i see lol that reminds me i have to register my evga 9800gt that i just got it came with a free copy of fraps =D i like your card though its blue not green
Hey dude, hows things, nice vid i hav the sme graphics crd and a vid on youtube, but im strugglin to get the sound frm through the HDMI. tlkin bout the SPDIF connecter tat is supplied with the graphic cards. My motherboard doesn't has a SPDIF connection so can u giv me an alternative way of getting sound frm the graphics card pls..
Note: i am tryin to get the sound through HDMI not DVI. Pls tb..
Well if your motherboard doesn't have an SPDIF connector you're kinda SOL. Unless you have a sound card with one. You maybe could run a cable from the back if you have a coaxial SPDIF on the rear, run that in, split the wires and rig that into the video card. But I wouldn't bother with that. If your board does have a coaxial or optial out for that matter just use it and run separate sound. Kinda sucks but whatcha gonna do?
I would change the Power Supply but thats called playing it safe. You may be okay for awhile with the one you have, you may not. 26A is the minimum RECOMENDED power. That's for a quad core or what they consider the average gaming system. Also if somethings Overclocked it may need more power to remain stable. Just change it and have something decent.
How do you change the fan speed? i want to change it to 100% for overclocking and idc about noise because i will either have speakers on full or headset on... thanks
I bought mine from XpertVision. It had built in fan control software with the driver. But I think default out of the box is 100%. When it's at full load then the fan automatically compensates for heat generation and ramps up the RPM, right? So unless you want 100% fan speed even when the card is at low usage - then I see no point in messing with it.
Yeah thanks I'm a computer technician and have installed a million computer components since like 1995 and never broken anything. Obviously you try and hold these from the edges. Thanks again for that awesome tip!
yeh, thats why it's more expencive. The 9600 can compete with the 8800's when you factor in how much cheaper it is. So it's the classic compromise. power or cost. However, with the right cooling the 9600 gt can be oc'ed enough to make it basically an 8800gt or better.
heheh, I have 2gb of onboard ram and I use that in conjuction with my 5600 video card to achieve a pretty good framerate in stuff like Hl2 and WoW. I really need to go get a new video card.
very nice! very interesting video! BRAVO! tell me please if the card is good compared to the Leadtek 9600 GT Extrem or XFX 9600GT XXX edition. The XFX is expensiv in my country (252$) and I don t know if the money is worth it. Thanks! All the best!
Basically all the cards are the same. I mean there is so much "Reference" guidelines and design rules they must follow to make a card like this for NVidia. Some cards are factory overclocked, some aren't. This one is an "Amp! Edition and is overclocked @ 725MHZ Core and 2000MHZ Memory (Reference is 650MHZ/1800MHZ) so that nice but not really a make or break feature and you could OC a stock one to those numbers anyway.
The main difference is warranty. One company may be a PITA to deal with, another might be great! Some companies have lifetime warranties on them, some let you change the heatsink and as long as you don't damage the card and put the stock one back on... still under warranty! XFX is good for warranties as they have the double lifetime (can transfer second hand) and they don't care if you change fan etc. Also some companies give you extras like my Zotac and the HDMI with SPDIF sound pass thru.
Yeah I didn't think they renamed it. It is a G94 but its still "based" on G92 so I was kinda still right in what I said. Its basically a G92 with only 64 stream processors. The die size is %33 smaller on the same 65nm process. I read the full reviews of this card when it first came out and must have forgot it was called the G94 since then. Oh well close enough ;)
Thats what I said isn't it? If not thats what I meant! I know the 8800GT is the faster card. Yes I just watched it again. I said many times that THIS card is about %15 slower than an 8800GT!
If its not old school video game console related it doesn't get the intro. Hence none of my "How to build a PC" videos have the intro either. I'm glad someone likes the intro! Many people complained about it. But if you know what the music is... you should love it and want to listen to it forever lol!

Look in your motherboard manual for the "SPDIF" header. It should be just 2 or 3 pins in a row somewhere on the board. But not all boards have it.
