I loved your documentary. It was very much informative as it was alive and engaging. I loved Danny Davis; I thought he was very pleasing. By the way, is it just me or does Chris Elliott look like Craig Holman?

The problem is that people do not think they have any connection with government.
That is why no one reads the fucking news, or anything else. Why deepen your understanding of the world around you if there is nothing you can do to change it?
Well, read carefully: Of the people, by the people, for the people. Any fucking questions?
Great effort in informing the taspayers on how government really runs.
If you have anymore money left you might do a documentry on TERM LIMITS. The founding fathers never meant for a politition to spend his whole life in Washington.
Youtube only promoted this for a whooping 12 hours. Why? 47,885 views? BS if Youtube kept this up on the front page for more than 12 hours {most of which was in the middle of the night} it would have been seen a lot more. I wonder why? Maybe because to shows the true nature of McCain? I'll bet anything McCain had something to do with this being stuffed under. Bet McCain never expected this to be this good or get noticed. Good job Mr. Scheider, maybe to good for some.
This is my first comment on youtube, but I really like the fact that someone like you can expose the corruption happening in Congress.
The only thing is that I think its going to take a major scandal to really change things because 'Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely'.
America has it pretty good, but were loosing our Democracy to capitalism. We The People need to elect people who will take capitalism out of our government.
thanks rob! you have really made it clear to me that after this election and if john 'im hurtin by the p.o.w. 1,000 years ago' mccain becomes president .. im moving to sweden... im making plans... thanks again for shedding light on this pittiful place call u.s.a.
thisisa good video. i think teh best way for young people to vote is through professors at community colege and universities. my mom never voted, and im making her vote this year. thanks for the video, i really appreciate it. i only hope the new generation is more idealistic.
Thank you Mr. Neil for your investigation and documentary. I, my spouse, and several of our friends have been concerned about campaign financing for years now. My husband has even helped a family friend write a book, Dueling Loops In The Political Powerplace, which tries to address this insidious problem.
Hello. I am Unconcerned Citizen. I know nothing about politics nor do I care to know anything about politics. I do, however, know Palin is hot — very hot. Vote for Palin! She's hot.
Sorry, your comment questioning if I was really apathetic before making this film was accidently removed. But thank you anyway, I appreciate you thinking so much of me. The truth is I was really and truly disconnected from Washington, even though I worked it "reality."
It was a great film very informative. I wasn't really surprised that lawyers were the number one lobbyists. You need to goverment to create new laws so you can sue people. LOL!!!
Excellent film. Congratulations. I was shocked that the Real Estate lobby was in the top 10. Then again, I think when I was a Realtor, part of the national fees went to the pac. Hmmm. No wonder it's huge. The various reform suggestions were interesting.
Thank you for such an in-depth and surprising look at the system we're all up against! Wouldn't it be great if all "entertainment" was as truthful and informative? You've effectively combined the two with your Doc though....Let's Go APE!
a comment I made last night regarding the inactivity of the blogs on the website that is mentioned at the end of this docu-vid was deleted...or at least I don't see it here...anyway it was a immensely informative and important video.
A great video Jonathan thanks for creating it and posting it on youtube. I will be be sending the URL to others, but I honestly doesn't expect too many to watch it in it's entirety.
So in other words. Since we don't get proper representation from the crooks in Washington. We have to send in lobbysits to pay them off to get what we the people voted for in the first place. Meanwhile the politicians get paid money (from the lobbyists) which shouldn't have to be spent by lobbyists because if the politicians had simply done what we the people wanted them to do there would be no need for lobbyists. So the lobbyist in effect replaces the representative who just collects money.
At their best lobbyists are just informing politicians about issues. But I think lobbyists represent mainly very rich interests who want to do things that may be disputable (or else the rep. would create bills about them). I have in mind here oil drilling companies, for example, vs. the Sierra Club (which likely has a lobby). But don't make the mistake of forgetting that the rep doesn't keep much of the money. "70-80%" is spent on advertising.
One thing that the movie allued to but did not explicitly state is that the MASS MEDIA is the SOLE BENEFICIARY of the BILLIONS OF CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS that candidates use to buy advertising. The fourth branch of government, thus, has no interest in changing how candidates get elected. WE THE PEOPLE ARE THE MASS MEDIA. We are essentially, in the private sector, killing public government. That is the thing I realized watching this movie. Thank you very much for this insight. If you agree repost.
Congratulations on getting your film featured on YouTube! This is such an important issue especially now during the Election. It is so cool that you are letting everyone watch the full feature. I hope Obama and McCain are watching!

The fact that so many Americans care about entertainment over important social issues is sad. I mean, at least keep a healthy mix.

Things are never as corrupt as you think they are...
If you ask the question, that's because they are already MORE corrupt as you think !
Look back at History : road to power is always paved with corruption, and worse... Sadly.
Let's hope Humankind will learn to change, someday, in a very good way...

Unless this film is seen by massive amounts of the population, his film's mission will silently fail.
--> No coverage = no transmission of 'the message' = no change of American politics
