@pokerockman - What belacanmelatox said is that it's easier for TaeYeon since she's not singing all the time during their concert, she only sings some lines for each songs and then she did her solo. Nicole always sing the full songs alone, that's why she's more tired than TaeYeon during a concert.

I agree that TaeYeon always sings in the same way, she lacks emotion. Most of the time it looks like she only sings without thinking about the lyrics... She doesn't feel the songs =S

If you ask me, some SNSD members sing "cute" in a better way than TaeYeon... Now if you talk about real songs that show off vocals, there's like... 10 videos where TaeYeon is good. Other than that I don't like her voice that much. It's always the same and she should work on emotion...

@Lecmar91 - Oh please. When did I determine emotion by the number of videos? I said that I saw her singing a lot of covers & only some of them are great. Professionals think she's good because when she sings in the right way, SHE IS REALLY GOOD but that doesn't mean she always sings well. Sometimes she cracks her voice, she lipsyncs, she sings without emotion & there's no need to be professional to see it. Professionals judge her based on her good performances, obviously.

@KazuuuX3 : a person's schedule has to be factored in when talking about how well they do. and for taeyeon, who had a busy itinerary, she is NOT a robot who can sing 'emotionally' on default. and the fact that it was a DUET, didn't help either. we all know that taeyeon tries to focus on getting the lyrics and pitches right when singing a duet. when she sang a studio cover of "because you loved me" w/ seohyun, she had to turn the other way around just so she can focus.

@KazuuuX3 : taeyeon does well on ballads, that's why she's requested to sing for OSTs by many in the industry because of her smooth and versatile voice. but she's had her moments where she doesn't give it her all which can be attributed to several factors such as snsd activities and her general schedule, just like any other idol in the industry who are busy people. and in terms of taeyeon singing "hush hush," she probably doesn't even know what she's singing since it's in english.

All I tried to say, it's that TaeYeon is NOT the best singer of the world like some Sones said. The best singer has to be the BEST. Nobody cares about schedule or the fact that she needs to focus on the song. If she can't be the best then she's not. It doesn't mean she's not great... I love it that Taeyeon performed Nicole's song better (excuse me, PCD's song). It just shows you how hard of a worker Taengoo is. And Nicole needs to work on her vocal endurance. She strains to sing the higher melodies and it's a bad judgement to sing songs that are already out of your comfort range. Like Train's "Hey Soul Sister," I saw a performance of that song and he sounded awful because it was too high to sing. (Artists) need to be smarter when they pick the ranges of their songs.
