It took me a while but I found my interpertation of the song is that the "it" when she sings "it comes and it goes" is their (the two children's) mom's spirit- hence it comes and it goes. Actually, no. While her chromosomes will always be XY, she is no longer biologically male. She took estrogen, giving her body female hormones. From both a biological and emotional standpoint, she is female.
That doesn't mean much, because I believe if she stops taking the estrogen, she'll regain some male characteristics. Also, technically; she was born a female with the XY chromosomes, and like you said it will always be that way. So she will always be a male. For the record, my comment is not against her sex change, in fact I find nothing wrong with it, but those chromosomes of her will always discourage her outside appearance.

SIGH.(1:36-2:12)Too beautiful for words. All I can do is sigh. The song and video match perfectly.
It took me a while but I found my interpertation of the song is that the "it" when she sings "it comes and it goes" is their (the two children's) mom's spirit- hence it comes and it goes. It makes more sense while watching the video and thinking about it look for how there mom guides them through everything, the boy in the beginning of the video waking early like his mom to stretch and exercise.

I love the song and I understand the lyrics. But in my opinion the video bares no relevance to the song at all. At least I would want Dido to be in it..

If you are to adopt a baby. The baby will be your child from a legal point of view, but the baby is not your offspring from a science angle. It's not much of an argument. What he's saying is facts. She will always be a man biologically, despite the fact that everything about her suggests that she's a female. I think that you should let it go, you can't argue with science. Yes, she is a woman on the outside, and she knows in her head that she's a woman, and so does everyone else who sees her. Actually, no. While her chromosomes will always be XY, she is no longer biologically male. She took estrogen, giving her body female hormones. From both a biological and emotional standpoint, she is female.

That doesn't mean much, because I believe if she stops taking the estrogen, she'll regain some male characteristics. Also, technically; she was born a female with the XY chromosomes, and like you said it will always be that way. So she will always be a male. For the record, my comment is not against her sex change, in fact I find nothing wrong with it, but those chromosomes of her will always discourage her outside appearance.
