you broke the law buy breach of contract video taping is not allowed, even though you purchased a ticket your rights are limited by contract of that ticket. if you would have shown him a legitimate ticket they would have left you alone. they also reserve the right to eject anyone the deem to be unfit to be in the building. you could have been charged with trespass , They probably just did not want to give you any free press by doing so.
I mean, I think I would have just showed him my ticket again but that's great that you're standing up to these folks at Ringling. They'd much rather us activists stay out of their little PR events, in case we catch something abusive on camera. I know when Ringling is in Chicago and Indianapolis, they don't even do the Open House because so many activists were going.
@circusboy90210 Not entirely sure what you were trying to squeak out here, but I think you meant that in big cities like Chicago and Indy, they don't do animal open houses because of activists. Well, I'm glad they're scared to let us see what they do to these gorgeous beings behind closed doors.
I've seen enough circus cruelty recently at the elephant walk in Chicago & Indy.
@peepchick101 no that's not what I mean ,don't pretend to be able to put words in my mouth thank you. those city's don't do it( meaningringling choses not to have the menagery open in those city's for reasons of crowdflow and amount of space. Ringlin has never made any decisions based on how manyusefull idiots are out front. there is nothing different that happens in those city's that doesor does not happen in other city's, the show operates exactly the same otherwise.chicago has two locations.
@circusboy90210 I'm quite aware they have 32 shows a year in Chicago - split up between Rosemont and United Center arenas.
I'm not pretending to put words in your mouth; I just found it difficult to decipher your initial comment.
Anyway, I've noticed Ringling has cut way back on animal usage during their shows. The tigers and elephants appeared for a very short while this year compared to previous years.
@peepchick101 the show itself is the same in every town. Ringling does not shape it's show around what peta thinks. the reason why ringling does not do menagery in some city's is it's hard to get crowds in and out of those areas safely or the fire marshall will not allow it to happen. menagary is another draw to bring more people, it's not in their financial benefit to not have it no matter what the local peta group might say. Ringling has cut back because of the economy nothing more .
Brother-- I LOVE the comment: "yeah, you took a bullet for oil, that's what you did!" Nicely done. Great job keeping your cool in the midst of ridiculous harassment from RB (and "Jarhead").
@Johnnyluv it's not ridiculous for any business to eject or harrass peole or groups that are out to kill their business. if he did it for oil. then where is the cheap oil then?? it's also not harrasment to ask you for a ticket either, produce each and everytime asked or get out. I"ve worked for shows where I asked the same person many times over a week for a ticket. some peole attend multiple times. plus pat is known to be a trouble make so troublemaker is made for him .
If you wouldn't act like a total idiot maybe they wouldn't video tape you. Talking to someone in authority like that in front of families and children. I wouldn't want you around my animals or my customers. Go get a life.
@BulkDude -actually BulkDud (aka "CIRCUS FAN") he was videotaping me before I used the "salty" language. Also I had to laugh at your description of the Ringling person as an authority. The reality is: if I wasn't exposing their cruelty to the animals they wouldn't be videotaping me and you wouldn't have the opportunity to make your odd comments on this video.
Thank you Pat for showing us how to stick up for ourselves with the RB mafia. They always try to intimidate the advocates/activates. I loved the fact that the security wouldn't make you leave! RB general manager looked like an idiot.
I've been bullied by the younger man with short dark hair, head of security I think. I wouldn't leave either, cops came, I left for the cops(it was after a show at the compound) but I got my footage of a fresh bullhook wound on elly's head, that's all I needed.
You kick ass Pat! You are one of the most dedicated people I know who fights for the animals in RB...home of the dumb asses who got put in their place!

@peepchick101 the only reason they don't do that in those city's is totally logistical , you activist don't manage why or where they do what they do.
