What amazes me is that he looks so totally fuckable at the age of 38. The vast majority of 38-year-old American men look way, way past their "sell-by" date at that point! (Yep, myself included.)

I don't think that's true at all. I think that people in general from earlier generations tended to look much older than their ages. Most of the guys I grew up with look much the same as they did in their mid twenties and they're all in their late 30s-early 40s. However, most of them have all their hair (me included). Seems that men who go bald tend to look older than they actually are, not the ones who keep their hair. Just my observation...
