1981. Beautiful. 1979-1982 was a period in music history that will never be seen again. It ended 1983, when:

1) The synthesizers became digital. That is, ended being own mysterious sound creators, instead turned into anonymous studio equipment used to imitate the same old boring instruments from the pre-electronic era.

2) US music took over. Melodic, sound driven European songs went out of fashion. Instead came all those boring R&B and soul acts. Garbage rock for the working class etc.
