  • This guy was the real deal...and he NEVER phoned it in. I was sneaking into clubs in NYC under age in the early 80's to see this band as many times as I could. They were just amazing, and he was just priceless. At the time I was too young to understand he was suffering from serious drug addiction, but man oh man, even with that, you just couldn't touch this guy's talent. I am so terribly saddened that he's not here anymore, but so grateful for these video postings. Love to you in heaven Willy!

  • WICKED - No more TO SAY. RIP Willly - Regards and love Wakefield, England. Cheers Dez

  • will see the fabulous, under rated mink deville tomarrow night in nyc. willy will be there in spirit!

  • Fabulous song, however the poor guys doesn't look well here. God Bless the Montreux Jazz Festival great legends like this one.

  • watch out for mink deville playing it for willy's birthday this aug in nyc- should be a memorable evening!

  • Saw Mink DeVille here in the UK in 1977 (was it really that long ago?) could never understand how they weren't bigger.

Listening to "Cabretta" it makes me wonder how an album recorded in 1977 can, in 2010, sound so fresh, so contemporary - how is that even possible?

Still listen to Mink DeVille, and all Willy's stuff- there is an online petition to get Willy DeVille inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame, hope everyone signs it, Willy deserves it.

    Thanks for posting.

  • @snackleforkofemir i will sign in that willie the ville will be inductided in the rnr Hall off fame he really diserves it, how can i do this
