This was my first Monkey Island game, so for that reason it is very dear to my heart. I definitely agree with you guys that this is the best one. It's quite sad that a lot of people still don't know about these awesome games (most people I know wont touch them because they aren't COD or Battlefield), but it's good that you two have done your part to spread the word about MI :D

@SuperWorldJumper Old character, it always was Guybrush, but if you ask me who is my new favorite character though, I'll have to say that I love the Hairstylist crew who are just easily distracted & were the funniest. Out of the 3 I always enjoyed Haggis McMutton. I remember that he made Captain Rottingham bald from the fear of lice and I love that cutscene where he was holding his skirt "I'm barely holding on myself, mate" XD and second favorite, Murray with everything you said about him ;D
Damn this is the only Monkey Island I CAN'T play. The special editions are available, I have Escape from Monkey Island on the PS2 (Though I would rather play it on PC), and Tales Of Monkey Island is on the PSN for a good price. And this is the best one?
@AQreviews Actually, Escape from Monkey Island is better on the PS2 because of the controls, but I can't spoil anything because I'm still working on Part 4. So stay tuned ;D

This is without a doubt THE BEST MONKEY ISLAND GAME!!! The story, awesome! The Puzzles, awesome! The voice cast, awesome! The Humor, awesome! The Designs, awesome! The Unpredictability, awesome! Lack of Bugs & Glitches, awesome! No anti-climatic ending (MI2), AWESOME!!! The Experience, AWESOME!!! Thanks for posting Part 3 this fast, now I'm happy that I don't have to wait for another week to see this review...except for Part 4 XD
I didn't liked this game as much as MI2. It was more cryptic. Story's kind of lacking... and some puzzle are actually HARDER to figure out some puzzles on normal difficulty. A lot of characters don't really fit the original MI feel. Ship minigame feels unnecesary. Oh, and I find ending worse than in MI2. It just... ends. Final puzzle solved, 10 seconds of cutscenes without dialogue and that's it.
@ProkoLokor Actually I beat the normal version in about a week and in Mega Monkey 2 weeks so it was a Full Month of Epicness. And the ship battle as absolutely necessary because it totally fit the pirate theme of Monkey Island it cut away the repetitiveness of just solving puzzles...cough...cough...MI2. And for the Story, oh common it was completely engaging, it opens up with how the ending MI2 should have been & it furthers the relationship with Guybrush and Elane in a huge mess to solve. BINGO
@gexup I don't like being distracted by gimmicky mini games in my adventure games, especially when they are not executed so well. Story's fine, just it's pacing is all over the place. Most of the game is just looking for a way to un-curse Elaine, ergo no speaking roles for her exept one line. Finale seems really rushed as game just throws so many facts right into your face that are very important in the context of MI2. Even Wally shows up from nowhere!

Dude, Guybrush finally got Elane to marry him, and there's nothing anti-climatic about the ending. That's an ending I want not this convaluted mess where "It was all in their imagination and leave off without a conclusion BS." Seriously, I cannot comprehend with something as disagreeable as such as statement
@ProkoLokor Insult to injury! Story lacking? Elane turned into gold & must turn her back, it's much more better than finding Big Whoop which was never reviled & just finding a ship and crew. Charters don't feel original? Buccaneer hairstylists, that's funny & I never seen such a cast before & it fits the comedy! Nuff said! All the Minigames fits the gameplay rather than just repeatedly go to the next puzzle & next puzzle. And ending is worse than MI2??? *face palm* *pukes* No...just no...
I get a tummy ache whenever I think about this game. I love it.

@ProkoLokor I really enjoyed the game but it really feels disjointed from MI1 & MI2. It's like -
Chapter 1 + 2 Chapters (all are very short by the way) - a proper sequel
Other Chapters - a completly different story for other pirate game.
