To be fair, any woman who perceives herself as straight would feel awkward and uncomfortable in a lesbian relationship. Sandy only referred to Gia as "it" when describing her androgyny. About her playing with Gia's feelings, I don't think she did this purposefully. She seemed genuinely confused with her feelings toward Gia and women in general.
