I think it is important to be musical when teaching poly's. 6 over 4 is the same as 4 over six mathematically and incrementally but they have different "feels". Poly's are for the purpose of being musical and it also helps the student to listen to what a six over four feels like. This btw feels more like four over six due to the 6/8 feel you have going on the ride. But it sounds more like you are just placing 6 beats to every 4 without care to give it a musicality. Not trying to be rude.
