@geiloMailo You need the mastery points you get from leveling up your summoner (not your champion). The earliest level kill you can kill the golem with Rammus is summoner level 21 with a full defensive mastery tree.

omg i play him COMPLETELY different and i own ass

what i do is i get power ball and defencive curl until ulti then agro and first i do him a Thornmail, then an Aegis and then boots (after that whatever you want for him)

i charge into players, turn on the shield and i hit them (letting them hit me so i can return damage.

when i have ulti, i do exactly the same thing, but i ulti exactly after the shield is on.

it is a tactic that never failed me! :) :)

So is Jungleing the easiest way to level Rammus? Im a relatively new player, and one of my problems I keep having is I keep falling behind on levels, and I get killed by some ranged or magic champ that can level much easier.

@kronos2560 yes jungling is better than laning for rammus. with no runes or masteries you will level up faster than the side lanes if you dont screw up your jungling. with runes and masteries you will be close to the solos level if you do it right

Magic resist per level blues

Quints don't matter too much although I use movement speed 90% of the time

Rammus should never build dodge in any sane situation, the same luck you get from dodging that hit from that ashe (that will never matter in the end) is the same luck that lets her get away sometimes because youre not doing max damage return. I usually never take that last point in defense to the same point, more buff duration in Util instead. Overall decent guide

Some tips:

1. Use magic pen runes on Rammus. This may seem counter-intuitive, but the vast majority of his damage is magic, so it pays off.

2. Rammus is both one of the best pushers and defenders. His ult damages structures, and his taunt can force an enemy to attack you under your turret.

3 Rammus DESTROYS champions that rely on high attack speed, especially with Thornmail.

@zackrulz626 AP is Ability Power, the damage that caster's spells do. On your Cho'Gath or Rammus question, it's personal preference. I like Cho'Gath because you can build tank or AP, and he can do a lot of damage.

I just won a game with rammus. It was surprizingly epic! i killed 5 turrets and 2 inhibs with the armor ball tremor combo. also, i pwned the dragon :D solo
