@perverted77 Well you gotta be fair though, Magiranger was given two episodes to showcase this and Gokaiger had to do it in one. I thought the Gokaiger was fine, Magiranger was funny but slightly perverted in areas.

@takatomon Indeed, but still, it doesn't change the fact that the episode in Gokaiger's quite a letdown. come to think of it, TOEI shouldn't have went doing one such episode. the Gokaigers, except for Gai maybe, practically has no lives on Earth outside the Galleon.

Usual Houka uses a lovely & cute girl words. But, it speaks in this scene in a violent man words.

Usual KAI is usually the manly wording. However, how to talk like a cute girl is done in this scene.

To our regret, the dialog translated into English has reduced the interest of this scene by half.

@SuperTekuteku While I understand that there is going to be something lost in translation, I believe the point is still made when you take into account the inflection in the actors' voices. You can hear the more gruff tone Houka uses and the effeminate tone in Kai's voice. Not to mention the body language the two use, from Houka shoving Makito with her elbow and speaking with her mouth full, and Kai's bouncing around and flailing his hands. In this way, the joke's not lost on English viewers.

Therefore, man and woman's difference is transmitted to the viewer only even in the tone of body language and the voice, and interest (funny) can be understood.

But, a delicate and exquisite nuance of the word (language) cannot be expressed by the translated dialog.

I was not to have written, "Interest is not transmitted at all". I said that interest would decrease.

The number is little though there are a man words and a woman words in English. But, the variation of a Japanese man words and the woman words is abundant.

The interest of this episode is in the man word and the woman word about which KAI and Houka that the body swapped talk.
