Stop hanging on to what Simon Jeffery sad last year. Plus SEGA trademarked the use of RingEdge in ALL three regions. The arcade market has been long dead in the west and it would cost even more money for SEGA to export the boards over to America and Europe especially considering the world economy. There's a console in works. Just wait.
Well that could also just be trademarking so other regions don't take the tech. Don't get me wrong if there was a new Sega console I'll be the first in line to get it. Camping out months in advance.
The only real problem I see right now is that they got A LOT of games in the works for other consoles. So it's like what's going to be the major games at launch? Probably Border Break which I'll be happy with.
Haven't you forgot that first of all, the PS3 is a flop. A failure. It has costed Sony alot. Second, all three current consoles are too costly to produce games for. If SEGA designs a development kit that makes it less costly to produce games for it, Sega will be able to attract alot of publishers . Plus there would be plenty of launch titles and exclusives for SEGA.
Wile I agree the PS3 is a flop, I don't know what this has to do with the conversation at hand.
Well yeah in theory, but that same strategy didn't really work for Nintendo. They are only now really getting some developers into the mix.
I'm a SEGA fanboy through and through though. I'd love to see Sega in the mix and maybe some revitalizing of some older franchises like Beyond Oasis, Streets of Rage, and Vectorman.
Nice customizable mechs, pilots, and I guess the RingEdge is for touch screen arcade system.

Looks somewhat like Virtual-On/ Armored Core. Seems pretty cool.

There's also a RingWide board. And it wouldn't suprise me if SEGA annouces that RingEdge will be a home console.

As much as I'd like to see that happen I'm hanging onto the fact that they keep saying they're not going to enter the console business anymore.

I saw that.. It didn't seem like Vectorman at all so I'm kind of glad.
