  • @mallymahalik Another good seasoning technique to use is ITALIAN DRESSING. You need to let the turkey marinate overnight in about two bottles of dressing (you should inject it for the best results). The taste will be AWESOME the meat will be full of flavors and so so so moist!!

  • @MSPAPERCHASIN sounds good! Thanks for sharing!

  • @MSPAPERCHASIN sounds good! Thanks for sharing!

  • @MSPAPERCHASIN sounds good! Thanks for sharing!

  • You are FUN, thank you for the video, you remind me of Phoebe on Friends, maybe you ARE Phoebe on Friends, anyway good video, thank you!

  • @sparklerocks Thanks for watching!

  • ooohmyygooood that flavor injector (as i found out it was called) must be absolutely amazing! I've NEVER seen that here in sweden and it's so hard to make the whole turkey/chiken juicy. If I can't find one here, i'll order one from the states or some place that have it!

  • Apple in a bird sounds good. Gotta try that. Looking good Hilah!

  • hey hilah . you should tie your hair more often , you look amazing !!!

  • @felicia571000 Thank you! :)

  • @chikibabe11 She does*___*

  • That bird looks good, Hilah! =D

  • best looking breast

  • awesome and sexy, love it. subbed.

  • 1:15 <3!!!

  • Good job. Thanks for the help. Your kitchen reminds me of home.

  • @RonaldSkerkavich Thanks, Ronald. That makes me happy to hear. Happy Thanksgiving! :)

  • For your Christmas season, can you do a deep fried turkey? This one is awesome! And I believe you can also do deep fried awesomeness too!

  • omg has anyone told you ..you look alot like fibby from friends..

  • You sort of look like a mixture of Katherine Heigl and Lisa Kudrow. O.o Great video though! :)

  • You didn't show us the stuffing. :( Oh well I still LOVE you!!

  • @misschowa I made a video for that last year! Search my vids for cornbread stuffing!

  • Hey, Hilah. Fantastic!

I don't mess around on turkey day! I make sure there is good bread at the table, and make turkey sammiches on the spot! The white meat is never so tender. : D

    Luv ya! : )

  • @ZombiedustXXX Yum! xoh

  • you toally sound like Phoebe Buffay :D....with a much cooler accent. Congrats on the contest!

  • Oh hey, it's Phoebe Buffay

  • isn't it kind of disgusting to stick your hands into a turkey's you know what?

  • @dannymaclamp You mean into a turkey's abdomen and chest cavity?No.

  • <3333

  • Thanx for the vid.

Hey your should try the Lazy Carnivore method of turkey cooking.

    1. Buy a ham that'll fit in the turkey

    2. Put the ham in the Turkey.

    3. Put the turkey in the roasting pan, breasts DOWN, arse up. ;)

    4. Put the pan in a 350 oven, untill the drumsticks start to fall apart. Or use a meat thermometer, or proper cooking times from the internet.

    5. Eat the bird, or the ham. And tomorrow you have 2 kinds of meat for sandwiches..FYI the drippings make the best gravy!

  • @Pipedog42 This is Krazy! But also kind of awesome! ;)

  • @hilahcooking Thank you! *bows* My family has it every year at Xmas.... about 1/2 of us like ham better than turkey so it's SOOO handy.

PS love the vids..keep em commin'!

  • Hilah you are like all types of awesome!

  • We have October Thanksgiving. But, I like to go to TX in November for another Thanksgiving. My mom makes a killer oyster stuffing. Stay cool, Hilah!

  • I hate how thanksgiving where I live (Ontario, Canada) is at the beginning of October! Which makes for an uneventful and hungry November :(.

  • GOD, I love watching you cook Hilah! That turkey looks amazing. Beautiful woman and beautiful food!

  • If only I wasn't single and had a decent oven I certainly would try tp do this. if only....

  • A classic clip! In fact, we may even try roasting our very first turkey..ever!

  • @Camcontactscom Thanks! Hope you try it this year!

  • That looks great Hilah. I really like the apples, onions and parsleyin the cavity. The butter and chicken broth injection into the breast really does help; keep the meat moist. Thank you very much. I also like to add a smokey flavor to my turkey by wrapping bacon around the legs and breast.

  • @deview123 That sounds yummy! It would keep it extra moist, too. Great suggestion!

  • When you started fingering it, I *did* consider calling PETA, but I figured what the hey, it was already dead anyway. LOL

You've tempted me to do a real bird this time. For the past few years, being single, I've done the little 3 pound Butterball boneless turkey boob roasts (which are really nice), but I miss having a carcass to pick apart later. I think I'ma doin' it. So where does one get one of those giant hypodeemic nerdles?

  • @anmoose I just found it in the "kitchen equipment" aisle at the grocery store. Around this time of year it should be easy top find em!

  • @hilahcooking,

Just touching bases again. Sho 'nuff, as turkey day approached, I didn't even have to go looking for the injector needle, it was on one of the end cap displays. And I picked up a 12 1/2 lb Butterball. Replaying the vid now and taking notes, so I don't have to look it up on T Day, and looking forward to the fun of doing a whole bird again.

  • @anmoose Awesome! Glad to hear that! Have a fun and delicious Thanksgiving!

  • @hilahcooking,

Ha! I know I will. I'll probably even make a video of the "production" for grins, and if it turns out decent I might offer it as a response to this one. :-)

  • @anmoose That would be terrific! :)

  • @hilahcooking,

Check your video response requests. :-)

  • Hey, Sweetyhearty, you are fantastic and playfully entertaining no matter the season! That bird looked great!

I am doing a 7.5 lb. turkey breast (w/ribcage) tomorrow. I like turkey sammiches all year long!

I have become a huge fan of using a $20 digital thermometer w/probe. Stick the probe in the thickest part of the white meat of the bird, then wait for the alarm to go off. : )

  • @ZombiedustXXX Thanks, honeybaby! ;) Good idea to not just roast a turkey for Thanksgiving!

  • Hilah, your priceless. love ya.

  • @ralphedds1 Thanks, buddy!

  • Going to be cooking my first turkey this year and i'm totally using this recipe! woo!

  • @Foostache Whoohoo! Just make absolutely sure your turkey is thawed completely! That's the biggest problem first-timers run in to. Have fun! :)

  • Looks absolutely great! Halloween and Thanksgiving are my favorite hollidays of the year for sure. The leftover turkey can last for at least a week afterwards. That's always a good thing, and when you figure in the sweet potatoes and other items,it's a win-win all the way 'round!...hehe! You just can't beat good eats like this...

  • @da959 Thanks! Yeah, after I made this one and pulled all the meat off, I packed it up into ziploc bags and froze it for making potpie and soup later. But I still have some in the fridge for salads and sandwiches this week!

  • @hilahcooking Ahhh, turkey sandwiches..I love them when you fry the turkey for a bit in some butter.I gives it an awesome flavor! Maybe you could show us all how to make a turkey potpie. I'm always up for what to do with the leftover turkey.. Now i can't wait for Thanksgiving to get here!

  • Nice demo. I need a pan like that.

  • @jasonmushersee thanks! I love that pan. I think it's Cuisinart.

  • Canada celebrates Thanksgiving in October :)

  • @OccasionalVlogger Oops! ;) Thanks, Rosaria!

  • "Turkey tiiime!" Looks like you were happy to know that 2.5hrs have passed and the turkey's ready :D I soo understand that, just so fun xD

  • Hi Hilah! Great to see the first thing ya did was get rid of that dumb pop up thingy. Two thumbs up girl! I also remove the plastic truss even if they say not to. I swear I can taste the plastic when I don't.

May I suggest ya take a stick of softend butter and mix your under skin seasonings & hurbs in it THEN place it under the skin. BTW, ya can get WAY back and under it with your hand if ya work at it 'cause that skin will strech a lot more than ya think it would before it tore on ya.

  • @ricklude Oh yeah, I do that when I roast a chicken. Don't know why I don't think to do it with a turkey. Duh! Thanks!

  • @hilahcooking Oh heck, that's OK Hilah.

Sometimes I don't think at all and you should see some of the sad, total wrecks that have come out of my kitchen, not to mention other things I've worked on in my house. HA!

Besides Hilah, Your turkey came out lookin' just beautiful and I bet ya it tasted just as good as it looked too. YUM! Next time, send me an invite y'all. :-)

  • I am a vegetarian, and yet I watch all of your meat-related videos too. I'm always afraid of missing out on your funny addiitions. While I don't actually eat meat, I can enjoy the playful banter while someone else prepares it...right? :)

  • @kozeraag Whoa, chicky! You just blew my mind with that awesome compliment! Thanks! :)

  • I like it

  • Canadian Thanksgiving is in October.

  • @coeurdechoeur Aha! I knew it was somewhere around the same time of the year. Thanks! What's the history behind it?

  • @hilahcooking The idea behind it is pretty much the same as the US Thanksgiving: giving thanks for another year, plentiful harvest, etc. The date bounced around a little bit over the years (as did the date of US Thanksgiving) until in 1957 it was officially set as the second Monday in October.

  • @coeurdechoeur October 4th

  • Thanks Hilah!!

  • You look like Gwyneth Paltrow!!! And you're a good cook :)

  • @123matt567 Except way hotter and infinitely more badass!

  • @milesj72781 Whoo! Thanks! ;)

  • that is nice cooking show wooooooooow lady you rule for your cooking show i will watch it every day

  • @hilahcooking - Hilah, I assume you discard the stuffing veggies or do you use them in your out-of-bird prepared stuffing? Also, I prefer the Butterball Smoked turkeys. Would there be any differences in preparing it this way? Thanks for the great video!

  • @fitzgeraldmw Yeah, discard them or use them when you're making stock from the turkey bones (that's what I do). I've never tried the smoked turkey - I assume that means it's already cooked and all you do is heat it? I'm not sure. Butterball turkeys are already injected, though, so you'd skip that step for sure.

  • You stayed up all night and fixed audio sync!

You got my like and favorite back on the new video. I just didn't want you to think people don't notice how hard you work to deliver a quality product. That's dedication, and you're doing a great job!

  • @Jafromobile Thanks for noticing. We moved over to a whole new production workflow this season and while it's great for the most part, we've been having trouble with the sound slipping on YouTube.

  • @Jafromobile Thank you! Hearing from people like you that appreciate the show make it so worthwhile. You're the TOPS! :)

  • Looks delicious. I love roasted turkey.

  • @kadirecipes Thanks! Me too!

  • the syringe was sooo cooool

  • Whoa, first time I've seen a video that I'm the 1st view! (apparently)

  • @theroxeedoodle lol i was too x)
