This film was so well made. It has left me with a sense of uncomfortableness that I live my life in a bliss of ignorance when so many people and especially children are struggling from day to day. Even though they do, they still have this amazing ability to smile each day.
I am not Madonna, but I can change the world. And so can YOU! Let nobody tell you your wrong like some critics who posted comments have said about Madonna. God bless all who work to improve this world.

What they eat, who they wear and date and how much they earn. I'd like to know if this documentry was shown on T.V. by any large networks or was it religated to the internet to be stumbled upon by a small number of people like me?? You rarely see theses films on T.V. even the likes of National Geographic don't show many quality films now

The charities are confused though and don't really understand the real problem, neither does Madonna or Bonno. A shame. To truly help them is to go very far down the rabbit hole and connect the dots to all the misinformation involved with Big Pharma and these "diseases" that they raise $ for. It's the most misuderstood and most tragic thing that is going on in modern society today and very ffew are aware of it.
i actually sat here and cried my eyes out - everyone knows the story but this mad me mad that in a country where every one of my amenities are free - to deny someone the right to have theirs is just as good as killing them and its frustrating to live in a world where this goes on. She did an amazing work with this film. Still, it sounds a little naive when she says "they've lost their parents, their house... and still, they can smile." and then she goes about saying, we don't appreciate things in the wealthy countries. it's very different because we feel alone with our problems, we don't have the whole country in the same situation. There are different social groups, so people judge each other. That's where the suffering comes from in the western countries.
who cares about a title anyways if you the queen of pop or not it is whats in your heart and she doesnt do this to get popularity votes. I think she goes beyond helping she educates and tries to follow through. Anybody can sing a song or donate money but to follow through to make sure they are alright shows a lot of heart. Thats is how i will remember her not by a dance move or clothing accessory. I also believe Micheal did hispart also. They are both great example of great human beings
that´s the point, she´s an artist and you recognized her for her music, not for an outift, Michael Jackson had a great talent, but he dressed for decades the same style, it´s hard to remember him without the glove, and about this documentary, i think it´s great that she´s trying to make a difference helping people.

She doesn't just show her face or sends money for PR (like Angelina J for instance, she's a classic example of that.. not to be mean but it's the truth, whenever there's a negative report about her she shows up in a third world country) Madonna always said that she never wants to show up & give money and then leave.

So in this case a women child died of AIDS so the chief is making her have sex with a man who is married with a wife from another town..the women whos child died of AIDS also has AIDS..now the man who sleeps with her will catch it and pass it on to his wife. This is all done under superstition. After sex she is consider "clean"

If a women child has died, the women will be consider unclean because she has been affected by death. The chief job is to make sure she becomes clean again, only sex can make her clean. I came by this through the madonna website. I was captivated, because I think it's great work that has been done here. Thank you all and especially Madonna. But how will all the people learn this. This film should be seen all over the world, it has a message in it which is new and different from previous africa/poverty docs. I wish Madonna and her crew good luck to achieve a lot with this.

Leave it to Madonna to raise awareness and concern about a problem which has been around for decades, but has largely been ignored by the "civilized" world. A beautiful, touching and haunting documentary. Madonna at her very best.

Stop supporting bad politician. Africa has everything to survive and it has enough money to buy Europe, so put your money in good politicians and resurrect all the Politian who fought for the independent of Africa those people who were kill or taken out of power were the man and woman who had vision for this continent, by killing them you created the doom of Africa.
the only way you can help Africa and Malawi is by giving us people like Obama in our countries, politician who will be Christ model, give their life and work hard to bring this continent back to his feet and advancement. Africa needs to unite.

I think it's very sad that so many people seem to need the entertainment industry to point out that there is poverty and injustice in this world (far worse then most can imagine). It really isn't that hard to figure that out for yourselves but facing it that's the hard part.

I am because God said so. They are for the same reason yet mine and theirs lives are very different. In my country it has progressed so that mosf of our children are looking forward to a life of hard work rewarded by a high salary. Now that it has become disease ridden most hide their eyes by changing the channel or stopping the tape as it gets hard to watch. Again I ask what are their leaders doing but taking a cut and looking the other way?

She did an amazing work with this film. Still, it sounds a little naive when she says "they've lost their parents, their house... and still, they can smile." and then she goes about saying, we don't appreciate things in the wealthy countries. it's very different because we feel alone with our problems, we don't have the whole country in the same situation. There are different social groups, so people judge each other. That's where the suffering comes from in the western countries.

who cares about a title anyways if you the queen of pop or not it is whats in your heart and she doesnt do this to get popularity votes. I think she goes beyond helping she educates and tries to follow through. Anybody can sing a song or donate money but to follow through to make sure they are alright shows a lot of heart. Thats is how i will remember her not by a dance move or clothing accessory. I also believe Micheal did hispart also. They are both great example of great human beings

that´s the point, she´s an artist and you recognized her for her music, not for an outift, Michael Jackson had a great talent, but he dressed for decades the same style, it´s hard to remember him without the glove, and about this documentary, i think it´s great that she´s trying to make a difference helping people.

I noticed that others have commented on the audio sync problem this film (and other long uploads) on YouTube seem to suffer on some computers. I was going to share the trick I use to nudge the audio back into sync with the picture, so this movie can be experienced as it should be, but I've had so many unconstructive and argumentative replies to earlier posts of mine from the rude and uptight YouTube community, that I'm throwing in the towel, and you can work it out for yourselves instead.

@daphilmeister Actually she's probably the only famous person in the entertainment business that takes action. She doesn't just show her face or sends money for PR (like Angelina J for instance, she's a classic example of that.. not to be mean but it's the truth, whenever there's a negative report about her she shows up in a third world country) Madonna always said that she never wants to show up & give money and then leave.

@daphilmeister She has many projects in Malawi, in fact, she has so much work put into Malawi that it has always been the only country she helped for years, simply because she wants to do a brilliant job at it and not just throw some money and leave. That's dedication. And it will take many more years before Malawi may not need Madonna's help so much anymore, in fact, I think she'll always be involved no matter what.

@MegaTrivial The Chief believes that if a person dies then the existing family member has to cleanse themselves the only way that can be done is to have sex. So in this case a women child died of AIDS so the chief is making her have sex with a man who is married with a wife from another town..the women whos child died of AIDS also has AIDS..now the man who sleeps with her will catch it and pass it on to his wife. This is all done under superstition. After sex she is consider "clean"

@MegaTrivial Part 1. Your correct, but the chief does not care if a person has AIDS or not, what he cares about cleansing the family of the dead/evil spirits. If a women child has died, the women will be consider unclean because she has been affected by death. The chief job is to make sure she becomes clean again, only sex can make her clean. The women does not have to have AIDS she can be 100% healthy but the cheif will still force her to have sex..to get ride of the bad "spirits"

I came by this through the madonna website. I was captivated, because I think it's great work that has been done here. Thank you all and especially Madonna. But how will all the people learn this.
