Senior year of high school I was picked to go on stage for one of those group hypnosis things. The guy had us all with our hands out, concentrating on something or other. He was about to say the final magic words of concentration when my watch went off. I quick turned it off but totally lost my concentration. From then on I just went along with the ride and just did whatever he said. I didn't want to go back and sit down! It was so incredible I got picked to go up in the first place!
Haha, that's great! The guy in this video knew when people were just acting by their heartrate and eye movement and whatnot... so if they weren't actually hypnotized, he sent them to go sit back down. It gives me such a great mental image of you acting like a fool just because you didn't want to get off stage, though. =P
At the end I kinda spaced out and forgot what the cue was to run back up on stage and dance to YMCA, so when I got back to my seat I was frantically asking people what the signal word was. They were all like, "wait, aren't you hypnotized, right now? what's going on?"
