Perhaps you are aware that this song can be regarded as Jobim's homage to Chopin, because the chords descend a bit like Chopin's famous short Prelude in E Minor. I am a jazz buff, but I like bossa nova and have vinyl albums of Jobim, Luiz Bonfa and Marcos Valle. Best to you!

Yes I am aware of the borrowing that makes Jobim's music so wonderful. I have to admit, I've been borrowing from him for some of my latest compositions.

I'm heavily influenced by this particular genre.

Though admittedly I have departed from it vocally in this performance. I had an idea for a different feel and rolled the tape, as it were.

The camera must be making her look big. She's actually very tiny for her age. She has a delicate appearance in 'person'.

She's been pouncing and chasing her tail. It's kind of fun to watch the little critter scamper around. When we rescued her, she just sat and slept. She was afraid of everything.

Now she seems to have recovered from whatever trauma she suffered previously. Must be all the music.
