This was a remake of the original 1974 which I think failed epically. I hate horror movies where you can predict who lives and who dies, and know when the kills are coming. I am not a big fan of Horror movies, but that would be like rebooting/remaking Nightmare on Elm Street, which the newest one failed miserably, they used the actor to play himself being attacked and tormented by Freddy. I think classics should remain classics

I still wanna know what's up with the fake footage that was never in this movie that I saw the trailer for hundreds of times. I remember back in 2005 when this was announced I was obsessed with the film. I've always wanted to know whatever became of the footage we see (mostly) in the end of this trailer. So bizarre.

Perfect XMAS film though. I've watched it every holiday on Xmas Eve since it's DVD release in 2007. Just a fun, fun movie.

I actually dont think that this remake is a bad one...this remake actually took it to a different level..halloween remake took it TOO far..but i love this movie..and i am REALLY pissed of that the girl getting dragged by the christmas lights scene isnt in the movie..i at least wanted it to be on the special features cuz they REALLY SHOUDLVE made that a whole scene...that just looks awesome..anyway i LOVE this movie :D it actually even got 2 stars unlike most remakes

in a way this can almost be a sequel, if it wasn't for some of the flashbacks. because he escape from the mental hospital where he obviously wound up after they found him in the original one. and then he kills the new girls that are living at the house.

Black Christmas "Re-Booted" the Horror Slasher Genre or the "Home Invasion Slasher" Genre. It's basicly a mixture of Halloween and When a Stranger Calls. It has a "Home Invasion" aspect to it also. It's a very good movie! It's not much of a Christmas Horror Movie anyway. It's more of a Classic Slasher film! I'd say it started the Slasher Genre other than Psycho!

if you have no problem with watching poor Michelle Trachtenburg's eyes literly ripped out of her head, and someone being impaled in the face with a piece of frozen ice, then no its not gory at all. totally PG-13 lol. but if you dont like blood, then you should be careful about this movie lol. almost everyone who dies gets their eyes ripped out.
