When I saw this episode and heard this music, I realized that this was not going to be another TV show. It surpassed everytthing on TV in the 1980s and redefined TV in so many ways, you can't count them all.

Terrific tune,and terrific episode. I watch "Evan" every day,and Miami Vice is practically the only TV I watch. I was around the first time in the mid 80's when it was out,only when you get older you start to appreciate how magnificent this show was. William Russ and Al Israel were outstanding in this episode.

Here's the thing about this track uniquely: it still holds up perfectly. If I played it for someone who'd never heard it and told them it was off a movie soundtrack that came out last week, they'd believe me.

I write through music, like I'll see a movie in my head and then write what I see, and at the 1:30 mark this song puts so many different possible images in my head it's unlike anything else I've ever heard.

This is a TV show that got everything right- great cast, great music, great script, great location...I would argue this show is one of the reasons Dexter is so popular..

To me, I am listening out often for the DX7 Synthesiser he used - it is really hard to program this thing!
