  • THE "badest" car on Earth!!!!

  • @Vmaxjorge Thanks & I agree ! lol

  • Comment removed

  • I felt the same exitement as when my grandma takes out her honda

  • 74 people have had their Priuses blown over by this bad boy...Beautiful car... And a total EARGASM... Nothing like the sweet sound of a bad ass V8 especially when coming from something like this

  • @scott93257 - Thanks, I appreciate it. And it's a correct Ford motor in a Ford car. Can't wait to finish my new 427 side oiler, punched out to 527 cubes, solid roller cam, aluminum heads, etc... Should sound even better for the "EARGASM". lol

  • I think it's a crime that a Shelby Cobra has to wait for traffic; it should part like the fucking Red Sea.

  • @Kataanmonster lol !!!

  • Yep, can't afford a original and, if I did, thier too expensive to drive. 500 k to 5 million.

  • is that a clone?

  • Thanks.

  • Nice car man

  • One member that is nasty, it's been reported.

  • Y is there 67 Dislikes?

  • That wasn't fun.

  • @baccaruda1970 -Remember, it's a little,.........fun. I told them to do so as long as it's a little fun and they respect my wishes.

  • lol....no traction. I guess it's impressive to hit the throttle a bit at 35 mph and turn them over.

  • tires meet pavement lol

  • 64 people have a civic

  • Thank you. This428 FE motor I bought from Carroll Shelby in Vegas in 2001. (long story) The new engine I'm building is a all new,... casting 427 side oiler from a company called,Genesis. We're punching it out to 527 cu., solid roller cam, alum, heads ect. Hoping for 650 HP & TQ. I had a Tremec TKO in it, but I will get the first 5 speed from Keisler Engineering. It is also shorter & lighter.

  • @427HISS- Tremec used my Cobra for advertising, so I can get their new 6-speed, but it's longer so I would have to do some engineering for it to fit. Plus, it would make the drive shaft only about 12" long. So, I'll have to decide soon.

  • gorgeous car well done, whats your drive train? ive seen a wide range of 5 speeds and 6s... and where did you locate the 427?

  • What a couple of homos!!

  • @hammer555551 -Sounds like you wish,.... they were. Too bad for you...., their straight.

  • @hammer555551 someones jealous....

  • @hammer555551 That's a well thought out comment. You must be very happy with yourself. Beautiful car by the way.

  • What's in Auburn ?

  • its in auburn nebraska

  • itds in auburn nebraska

  • How exciting for you and your father ! Go ahead and email me and we can chat.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

  • I've been saving for one of these builds for a while now. So far i've got 32 g's saved up and my father recently decided to to jump into the build with me as a father son bonding process and go half and half with me. if you don't mind me being just a little bit nosy how much did that replica run you?

  • @dicky3001 - That's cool, but her cruising at 100 mph is where she likes to be. I'd love to drive Germany's Autobahn Highway ! It's great to have dreams, make this one a reality dicky !

  • @427HISS Very true my friend , the germans certainly can have some fun on thier roads. I intend to get my cobra one day , Still saving the pennies at the moment. Take care Bud.

  • I think Im right in saying that it was a Cobra that had the british speed limit set at 70mph many years ago. It was of course not doing 70.probably double that. Still is the car of my dreams... long live the 427..

  • Ah,....you don't need to be rich to build a replica. Just depends on how "real" you want to replicate the originals.

Thanks & I appreciate the great compliment !

  • @427HISS Can i borrow that next weekend? lol... Sweet Car Man...

  • @Lovesredheads09 -Sure, how large is your bank account ? lol. Thanks.

  • That is nice roadster. If I was rich, I'd want one exactly like yours.

  • @raimundough- No need to be rich, just save save save. Thanks for the praise.

  • It's not like a original, and I trust these two friends immensely, with my cobra or my life. Their just not some young punks not knowing what their doing. It's all good buddy.

  • You let someone drive your fucking Cobra? If I had one no one would be able to touch it without getting there fucking hands cut off.

  • The twin blower Cobra was the basis for "Bill Cosby at 200 MPH" and it is pretty funny.

  • @rpatton3 - Yep, it's a classic & very funny. A must see for all car enthusiasts.

  • He built 2, one for himself and the other from Bill Cosby, Bill sold it because it scared him to death. A man in England bought it and wrecked it some years later so, Carroll's is the only one left. Twin Paxton's and 800 HP.

  • There's all kinds of information on the net., do a search. "The 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake made history on January 21, 2007, fetching $5.5 million at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, a world record price for an American car, auction organizers." The rarity of the 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake -- this is the only original in existence.

  • Carroll Shelby sold his original for 7.2 million, not 5.5 million

  • @xBulletRacerx 5.5 at the Barrett-Jackson auction.

  • anticlimax

  • @averagejoe132 , lol,..... was not supposed to be a "mulitclimax", just two friends having fun. We'll have to wait until the new motor is done for that.

  • is this a real one or a replica ether way its nice

  • @aj2361 It's a replica, can't afford a $250,000 + original. Even if I could, that's too much money to driven, let alone the insurance cost ! Most are selling from $500,000 to 1.5 million. Carroll Shelby sold his original for 5.5 million.. Thank you for your praise, I love to drive her.

  • Your a very lucky man, she's gorgeous!!! :D

  • @Arqera -I agree & thank you !

  • i would have all that in a merc sadan but a v8 softop should be fun just you & the roar of your v8 same with harleys i dont get the tourer harleys with cds cbs & radios. if you want that drive a sadan or suv

  • stupid video.

  • who needs a stereo when you can hear that .

  • @sdavis732010

I hear ya. I don't understand when people have stereo's, thick comfortable lazy boy seats, quiet exhaust ect. but, what ever turns your crank !

  • I got a chance to drive one. Even though it was a replica it was pretty sweet. Being 6'5" not the easiest to drive when the pedals are an inch apart.

  • @mjschmidtantigo

That's one of the reasons I like the Lone Star. The cockpit is stretched 4" and the floor is channeled 4" as well.. I'm sure a tilt steering wheel, like mine, would be great for you.

  • @427HISS the lonestars look funky to me factory five has the best kit out there and there frame is pretty killer as well

  • @95mustangkid - I tend to disagree. Although the FFR is very nice, they got the rear quarters wrong, as they slant up in the rear. The LSC was designed right from the originals. It is stretched 4" in the cockpit and has a 4" drop in the floor pan.

  • Yes, it's heavier but that makes it more durable. I don't care about a little extra weight. I wish to be a lottery winner, to get a Kirkham. lol

The new 427 side oiler punched to 527 cubes with a mechanical roller, will make even better sounds.

    Thank you much bud.

  • @ 427HISS the more thicker, the more heavy! isn´t it?... Oh yeah David Kirkhan make a beautiful piece of Cobra! Nice Video man, you 427 sounds great ;)

  • fast foward to 0:44 seconds

  • is that the aluminum replica or the fiberglass replica?

  • @MintyMangoMan It's glass. Although the aluminum looks great, it dents easy. Pro's & con's of both.

  • @427HISS i think i would rather have a aluminum body rather then a fiberglass one because the fiberglass cracks easy.

  • @MintyMangoMan Some,....of the glass cobra do crack, but this body is made by Lone Star Classics, and is much thicker. It also has a product called, vinlyester, that expands & retracks. The body.paint is now 11 years old, with no issues. The aluminum, eeds to be scrubed down with a scratch pad and sealed with WD-40 ect,...because it oxidizes. Check out the beautiful, Kirkham Cobra. Very nice, but $100,000.

  • kit or actual american shelby?

  • @flashbak2theyayo It's a replica. I can not afford a half million dollar original so, this is second best. Even if I had a original, their getting too expensive to drive & have fun with. I'm building a new "Genesis" block, 427 side oiler. Punched out to 527 cubes, solid roller cam. 625-650 HP & TQ. It will be in three magazines, photo and video. Website called, "Motortopia" will be the home for the build.

  • 0:43

    I came.

  • That is a beautiful car!

  • @RunFaster011 Thank you !

  • @RunFaster011 Thank you much.

  • OMG! I probably have to get that car because.... my name is Shelby

  • @Slovesblack2 lol,.... sounds like a good reason to have one !

  • please tell me that fag isnt smoking in there........

  • Brings me back good memories of a ride in my auto teacher's Cobra...speed, sound, feel, crazy.

  • @Racr4Lyfe That was a LONG,..... time ago. lol

Was it a original CSX Cobra ?

  • @427HISS Oh no, not original. It was a replica. But man, he built the whole car ground up, all with racing parts only, fast...Actually, I think it was a kit car he said.

  • @Racr4Lyfe lol, nope, just a replica. Even if I had a original, the're so expensive now, you can't drive them. The new 427 side oiler I'm building now, will be punched out to 527 cubes, solid roller cam, ect... apx. 650 (+) HP & TQ. It will be in Car Craft and Kit Car Builder magazines. Stay tuned.

  • @427HISS yeah originals will go for about a million lol

  • @kestkr -I just don't have that much change in my pocket. lol

  • Is this made by ford? I saw a mustang called a shelby.

  • @SplinterCellCheese

hello, yes, it's made by Ford and the full title is,.."Ford 427 Shelby Cobra". You're not alone, a lot of people confuse the name with the Mustang. Ford Motor Company has the rights to use "Shelby" & Cobra" so, I make sure when I speak or hear others, I say my car is not,... a Mustang Cobra, but a 427 Shelby Cobra.

  • @427HISS A very belated reply, but the Cobra wasn't made by Ford - or indeed Shelby. The Cobra was made by AC in England. Cobras made for the US market (which was most of them) were built as engineless, unpainted rolling shells for Shelby American to finish in the US, while Cobras for the European market were built entirely by AC and badged as ACs. Nice replica by the way.

  • @t45tube No. Carroll Shelby asked AC to send him engineless AC Ace's made to be fitted with a V8 so he could build a car that could stand up to the Corvette. So in fact the Cobra was made by Shelby since AC only provided the chasis and body and even the chasis had to be reinforced from the power of the Ford V8. This is why it's called a Shelby AC Cobra because there is no such thing as an AC Cobra unless the Shelby is in front of the AC.

  • @MegaGuitarification Lots of Americans seem to have this misconception. While Shelby instigated the Cobra, which was developed from the Ace, all the initial engineering to take the V8 was done by AC, the Cobra prototype was built as a complete running car by AC and subsequently the Cobra was built as a new model in its own right with bespoke chassis and body. Yes, these were later reinforced following lessons learnt from Shelby's racing programme, but the bulk of the Cobra was always made by AC.

  • @t45tube 1) I'm not like a lot of Americans, I do my research. 2) I have found nothing about AC making a Cobra prototype. 3) Caroll Shelby even said he asked AC to fabricate their Aces to fit a V8 engine so he could make an American powered car to compete with the Corvette. That's paraphasing it anyways. 4) Where are you from? lol

  • @MegaGuitarification Hi, I'm from the UK so have access to different sources of information. Compared to the Ace, the Cobra has different rear suspension and the body is visibly different at the front. AC did indeed make the Cobra prototype at Thames Ditton, which had Ford's then new 260ci smallblock (289 came later). After intial testing in the UK, the engine and gearbox were removed and the car shipped to Shelby who then started promoting/selling/racing/developing it in the US.

  • @t45tube ahhh, where are you getting your information? This is buggin me because i can't find any of the things you're saying.

  • @MegaGuitarification Various sources. Thinking about it, I suppose a Cobra is technically 'an Ace made to take a V8'. The Ace had already seen 3 engines and undergone various engineering updates before Shelby approached AC with the V8 idea, so engineering it to take the V8 was basically a continuation of that. Maybe it would have been called the Ace V8 or Ace MkIV if Shelby hadn't come up with the Cobra name. Point is though, the cars AC supplied to Shelby were built as Cobras, not Aces.

  • That s such a great car. Holly Shelby!

  • @filh0daputa - That's funny !

Batman & Robin couldn't have said it better. lol !!!

    "HOLLY SHELBY BATMAN"

  • @427HISS I am familiar with the Genesis motor & the FE in general.hoisting (lifting) the VERY heavy intake..dealing with the shaft rocker system...et.al. Did you see the vid here of the fellow racing his Cobra @ Road America, complaining of brakes going away? I think brakes maybe a weak link here, next should be tire traction/longevity..but still keeping within "Halibrand" looks. Next up I would look at dry sumps, as cornering forces go up wet sumps start getting iffy.

  • @RichardEllisxyz -yes, it's a boat anchor ! The shaft rocker system is great ! far better than the pedestal type. Baer brakes is sponsoring their 2-piston system for me. There's no need for over powering brakes, as the cobra is so light weight and short wheelbase, that it gets twitchy, as with power brakes & steering. Traction is a problem, but with track tires or slicks, it's manageable if you know how to drive. lol I like my replica wheels from Team III Wheels. The lug cover is nice. .

  • The paint job look perfect!!!!!

  • @nicholascremato Thankyou !

I custom mixed the blue with a lot of mica, for sun reflection, and added pearl to the white stripes.

  • Most of the information, photo and video links will be on a website called "Motortopia".

This will be a exciting project for every car person to watch, especially 427 Cobra lovers.

    Thanks again,

    Kevin

  • @427HISS -Most of the information, photo and video links will be on a website called "Motortopia". I can't find a way of posting the website link here. Maybe that's against the rules ?

When I get ready to post the build on that site, the owner will have it on the home page. Until then, go to motortopia and click on the forth red colored tab on the top left side of the main page called, "People". Type in, 427HISS. Then in the search box, typr in 427HISS. Near the bottom is the blog.

  • The purpose of this project, is to bring the 427 Shelby Cobra up to date, with modern machining, parts and technology, after 40 + years !

We will stroke it to 527 cid and hoping for around 625-650 HP & TQ. Tremec TKO 600 with a .64 overdrive, Ford 9" with a Currie locker pumpkin, 370 gear for mixed street, track & highway. QA-1 coil over adjustable shocks,Team III,.. 15" original style wheels and the Good Year Billboard tires. I'm working with Baer Brakes, for a custom set of Shelby calipers.

  • The best video of a Cobra thruout Youtube....Well 'photographed', smooth, a great sense of scale, well lit, excellent! The 427 Cobra really was just a old rendition of a "kit" car. A four inch tube frame, Jaguar rear-end, Ford 'NASCAR" spec engine, Hand-hammered aluminum body, et. al.. The current editions are every-bit as good if not better than the originals. The fibreglas bodies are more durable & fixable. Why risk an original when you can drive one that is 99.9% of an original?

  • @RichardEllisxyz - Thanks !

I tried to mix in a little bling, as the original's were very plain, but were 99% a race car. In the coming two weeks or so, I'll be posting a blog about my all sponsor built, 427 side oiler engine. The block is a new 2010 made by a company called "Genesis". The entire build will be in Car Craft & kit Car Builder Magazines. We will be taking photo's and video and breaking the video into maybe, 10 minute segments.

I agree that their better today with new technology.

  • Isn't that the REALLLY rare car?

  • @dmenkhau -No, it's a replica. I can't afford a original as the cost is from $200,000 to over $1,000.000. They are almost to the point of not,....being able to drive because of the cost. Most are owned by collectors.

I appreciate your thinking that it looks like a original 427 Cobra.

    Thank you !

  • @427HISS That's really cool =3

  • why did you waste my time!!

  • @OnlyOneFly - Like I've said before, I did not edit the recording. Sorry you feel it was a waist of your time, as you see, most people like it.

  • @OnlyOneFly - Simple,.... then don't watch videos here. Problem solved.

  • @427HISS Then title it so people understand they will be bored. So much fun sitting at a stop sign. Are you stupid or what!

  • is there a difference in getting an original shelby cobra or a kit car?

  • @yousifahmed - I don't know what you mean ?

  • @427HISS what i meant is there a difference between the original and the replica?

theres a new plant in our region that is producing the shelby cobra and selling them for about $25,000

  • @yousifahmed - There's a lot to discuss about what manufactures make a true replica or their own version, as many company's add their own taste on what it should look like, or making it better. (which I like the original looks) Email me for my phone number, if you wish to talk it over. 427HISS@gmail.com

  • fucking 400 hp awsomesauce

  • @whyamiwhitemommy -Stay tuned, the new motor will have 625=650 HP & TQ.

  • wow there were 99,999 views right when i watched this vid RARE...

  • @danielpower123 - Thanks.

  • B-e-a-u-tiful sound that comes out of these cars! Thanks for posting!

  • @bigbadbowtie572 - I agree !

  • Check out this video of the engine I sold. My new motor will be a new 427 side oiler. 625-650 HP/TQ. Should have it done in the next few weeks. It will be in Car Craft & Kit Car Builder Magazines.

  • @427HISS. Tried to post a vid in the "Attache a video" but, it did not load ?

Look at my other videos #7..(nothing to special. They were made for the buyer of my last engine)

  • I give up trying to load it. Just go to my vids & you'll see #7, and the others.

    Sorry !

  • @427HISS what was the engine you had before? To me it sounded like a 427 or maybe another big block.

  • @thing503 Good ear you have. Yes, it was a 428 FE. The new motor will be a 427 side oiler.

  • @427HISS well you can't go wrong with a 428. Definitely not with the new engine either. Myself, I've always been a small block guy so the 289 would be my engine of choice.

  • ...Got a story of luck here

I jsut got off at Giant 30min early and started home saw a RR Phantom and thought it was the greatest thing i'd ever seen.....and then I see it, a blue Cobra 427 with white stripes going the other way. I was aw struck, I almost hit the guy infront of The greatest car in the world lives near the end of a penninsula on Gibson Isald. And to think I almost turned down the offer to go home early.

  • @StedySniper lol,..... that's great !

If you're ever in my neck of the woods, I'll take ya for the best, tire smokin, fish tailing, nose burning, ear popping, wind blown ride in the best AMERICAN car that has ever been built !

In todays world of high performance factory cars, are their some that are faster,....yes but, you'll never find a more kick in the pants fun,....than a 427 Cobra !

  • Comment removed

  • Jesus those things sound friggen sweet.

  • Sexiest car ever made! Thank god for Carroll Shelby!

  • great car, but a video of it waiting to make a turn is boring.

  • man... that is an incredible car one of my top 6 favorites ever... so jealous sounds amazing

  • @timcammitch Top 6, I appreciate that !

    Thanks.!

  • @427HISS no prob... thank you for putting the vid up

  • looks just like the one that my grandfather has.

  • beautiful car, nice job. did you go with an aluminum body kit like it should be or fiberglass?

  • @AKBray907 It's glass. The Krikhams make the aluminum for themselves and Shelby. Both cars are apx. 80k and up. I don't have that deep of pockets.

  • What a fantatic machine

  • @KevToon61

    Thank you !

  • Check out my other video's of this engine I just sold.

  • which kit is that? beautiful.

  • @TrojanDude26 It's a Lone Star Classic. Thank you for the compliment.

  • damn

  • @mmtiger31 I'm now building a new 427 side oiler punched out to 496 cubes and 625-650 HP & TQ., in a 2400 lb. car.

Think this will please you ? lol

  • gay...was he afraid it was going to die in traffic..fuck waited all day for a little goose...hold that shit to the floor..don't be skeered

  • Did you notice, "a little,......fun". Do you want to pay for parts, gas ect ?

Also, it's not his car !

Would you rev to high rpms and beat the crap out of your friends car ?

If so, I wouldn't want to have you as my friend.

    Take it easy bro !

  • lmfao...i'd tell you to take it easy, but you apparently are afraid of it.....hahaha

  • Ya right, afraid. lol !

  • I agree. Must be a young kid who thinks money comes out of the sky. Anyways does that body paint in the cobra you were in, one of the original paints when the cobra first came out?

  • @SeekerCR - I"m sure he's the type that has a nice and expensive car that beats the the hell out of it, smoke's the motor, and seeks out DADDY,..... for the funds ! lol

  • If you just baby it why not buy a fucking Camry son? Why waste all that money and get god awful gas mileage just to be babying the god damned car?

They did not build that car to be driven like a Camry and going WOT through the gears is hardly beating the hell out of it.

  • @427HISS - Besides with all the grunt in a 427 you don't need high rpm anyway.

  • @3000ST1 You're correct but, some (like me) get used to the power and, NEED MORE !

I'm in the process of building a all aluminum side oiler, solid roller camshaft and punching it out to either 482 cu. or 527 cu. with between 625-650 PH & 660 ft.lbs. Torque, on pump gas. That should be insane. lol

The entire build will be in three magazines and hopefully shooting video to DVDs and also posting it here on youtube and other video sites.

  • @427HISS Sounds like giggle :-)

  • @3000ST1 I agree but, the new motor will have 625-650 HP & TQ and should be able to 7,000 rpm. Is that nuts or what. lol !

    (Why,....just because)

  • I LOVE COBRAAA!! FUCK G.I.*JOE

  • lol !!!!

  • Hey Bro, Just got your message, check your email.

  • I got it buddy, give me a call. I think I sent it with the email ?

  • Is it a real Shelby with CSX stamped on it or is it a kit?

  • Nope, just a kit. The originals are just too expensive and, it's almost getting to the point you can drive them.

Thank you, I'll take the comment as a compliment !

  • Have we talked since your post ?

    I don't recall.

  • wow... I'm pretty sure my heart skipped a beat when they gunned it... one day I will own one of these

  • Ah, there's no time like the present !

  • its shelby cobra an ac cobra is a replica of a shelby ac got permision from shelby to make replicas and from what i can tell this is a real cobra. any way still an amazing car both of them

  • It is a replica and I appraciate the kind words. The "AC Bristol" was a British car that Shelby commisioned to bring a light weight car with a small block V-8 for racing, compeeting against the Corvette. That was in 1962. In 1964, Carroll wanted a big block, so the Ford FE series 390 V8 was installed in a Cobra and the result was scary - the car was virtually undrivable. It was decided that a completely new chassis was needed.

  • PART-2 lol

With the combined help of Fords computers and the experience of the AC engineers, the new MKIII was born with 4-inch round main tubes instead of 3-inch for the chassis, huge cross-braced shock towers and coil springs all around. This, along with a bigger 427ci version of the FE, made the new AC Cobra MKIII an absolutely unbeatable 2,200 lb race car. Specifically, the engine that was installed in the car was Ford's famed 427 FE NASCAR "Side-Oiler" V8, a power-house developing 435 HP.

  • Amazing car!! This, the Pontiac GTO, the 66 Chevy Camaro, the 67 Dodge Challenger and any Corvette Stingray from the 60's would be my muscle car dream collection!!!!

  • Thanks !

And I agree with your list. I would add the HEMI CUDA... I've always loved the 427 Cobra and thought of a 34' Ford with a blown Hemi but, their's a LOT out there and decided on the 66' 427 Cobra, and very happy I did. It was fun to build and a fucking blast,..... .....to drive !

Even when I have a bad day, week ect... (ya know what I'm talkin about) I fire it up, (that it's self, brings on a smile) and go for a drive. All of the bad goes away !

    Thanks again.

  • dont forget the 77 trans am andit edition 400

  • How true !

  • This, along with a BMW 507 is my dream car.

  • @NITROUSINJECTEDFISHY I agrre,....thanks !

  • @427HISS I agree,.....thanks.

  • @NITROUSINJECTEDFISHY ferrari slightly copied the bmw 507 the ferrari 275 looks a very similar the the 507 and the 507 was in production from 1956-1959 ferrari from 1964-1966

  • Glorious, my grandpa had a 66 midstates and dropped in a bored 426 max wedge drag block and ran mid 9's

  • lol, that's awesome. Bet that was a tight fit. Do you happen to have any photo's ?

Rich A, from shell valley/midstates has shut down but I hope it can get up & running again soon. Great car & man.
