What part of Matthew 24:21 "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." do you not understand? The world has not seen "The Great Tribulation yet."
The church was in tribulation from it's birth and there is no time that it has not been in tribulation, nor will it end until Jesus comes ON THE LAST DAY just as the fathers and Apostles taught.
Over the years we have all been lied to by many false religous leaders and so called prophets. Many things we have been taught are not even in Scripture and millions have swallowed so many lies by these false leaders. If you are a truth seeker, please visit the web site which is displayed in my picture and user name and take the time to read some of the articles... You will be very shocked. There is an audio there that will shock you.
The argument from all other references to "this generation" in the Synoptic Gospels is compelling. If one holds to the perspicuity and accuracy of Scripture, then one would be hard pressed to justify another interpretation of this passage from the Olivet Discourse (i.e. Mt. 24:34 et al.). This would be the "literal" interpretation of this passage.

This is great!. I am more and more convinced that the great tribulation is past.
I almost pity Thomas Ice that has no chance in this debate.

Given that St. John said he was a fellow-sufferer of "the tribulation," it's pretty hard for it to be an event in our future.

These verses changed my mind personally that the so called "Great Tribulation" is a past event. I thought I would share them with anyone interested:
Matthew 10:23, Matthew 16:28, Matther 11:14, 1 Peter 4:7, 1 John 2:18, John 21:21-23, Matthew 23:24
Just thought I would share what was in my head that always was a nagging splinter that now all makes sense to me.
