Yes, but unlike most of Gust's work, the Ar Tonelico series is surprisingly solidly produced, unlike Atelier Iris which was just linear, and never gave you that satisfaction of feeling like you had any chance against bosses since your characters always sucked. The story, depth, and more realistic dialogue (at least in AT2) set the Ar tonelico series apart by a longshot, but this is just my opinion.
I started this series with Ar Tonelico 2, and I can finally see how different the two combat systems are. This one looks really cool, too, what with the skills and whatnot, but so far the Misha's attack song looks pretty bland, but I'm now looking forward to seeing other songs from this one.
Cool video and all....But does anyone else think that the music near the beginning sounds a lot like the first stage of Little Nemo the Dream Master for NES?
game wasnt so hard, already can do 999999 damage with Lyner and beefed up all my characters already. Theres nothing more i can do in this game but just to keep replaying the game over and over. Now i should try out Atelier Iris Grand Fantasm when it comes out someday (heard around May of this year was a rumor but not sure its actually true).
Well, for me, I recently finished this game. I can say I actually had to TRY to game over to do so. I had to keep pressing wait; even then, the auto-regen on my characters stalled the game over I was aiming for. So at least for me, that is the definition of easy lol.
Heh, I just recently started playing this game and got 16930% song on this boss my first try. I probably could've gotten higher if I had more healing items, since by the time I charged the song that high I was on my last sliver of health.
Because as long as it's easy to maintain HP enough to prevent dying, the battle is easy. Since players are given the turn order, managing HP is no problem. Overall, this game is pretty easy, but it's quite fun. =D
That's the key, pure healing spells...heal A LOT in this game (you'll be at full health before you realize it) and they keep healing even more until the Reyvateil runs out of MP, which only takes one turn to recover with the use of a single MP recovery item. Later on, when the Reyvateil have MP in the thousands, recovery is not even necessary. The party is, therefore, almost invincible...
Even buffing spells heal your characters...but just not as quickly as pure healing lol.

A lot of people say that this game is so so so easy. I've been playing it, and yes it is easy but not like how they describe it.
I tend to think Atelier Iris 2 was easier

it doesnt SEEM that easy, you came close to death several times.. I donno why everyone says its a cake walk

Ekusuos007 5 years ago
well yea... but if you couldn't maintain enough HP then you're dead in the mud
also from MasterLL's other videos, he only doesn't die because he's casting healing magic
if he had been chanting an offensive spell, I'd imagine at least characters would be dieing several times

To further clarify the game's system, the Reyvateil ignore turn order; they can cut in to release their spells or change them anytime.
