The word describes the the person, not their behavior. You can have a gay person who has never been in a relationship nor has had sex.
So if a "gay" person has a heterosexual relationship, either they are bisexual, or they are in denial, or they are still in the closet, but it does not make them straight.

Those that colonized this land wanted to be free of RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION mainly. And, you are correct, the bible can be interpreted differently, which is the reason for Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, Methodist. I'm not saying my beliefs should outweigh yours. What they did was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. I should know, I was there. I don't agree that the passing of Prop 8 was a hate move. Christianity, which if you remember, is the only reason this country exists, states that homosexuality is a sin. But it also says, hate the sin, not the sinner. I have a lot of gay friends, I don't hate them, but I don't believe that as a country, we should approve of something that insults our fathers that founded this country based on Christianity.

I think I will start a new religion and base it off J K Rowling's Harry Potter series. After all it makes references to real world events, and it is entirely plausible that there is a secret underground society of wizards and witches who keep themselves hidden from us non-magic folk. Evolution doesn't work that way. It doesn't directly respond to the environment but it requires something to happen to the genes first and then needs natural selection needs to act on the individual with the new genes.
We don't develop immunity to the sun because we're in the sun (besides tanning but tanned skin isn't passed on to your offspring). Our bodies don't know what it needs to survive; it happens by chance, and those with beneficial traits tend to survive, reproduce and pass it on.

I might have misunderstood what you were saying before, but you're still wrong. How do you know there hasn't been changes since early civilization to our bodies? As for people who are in wars, I highly doubt having tougher skin would be a survival advantage. Soldiers' deaths are more random than the deaths a wild animal would experience. Their deaths are due to chance or maybe tactical errors from those higher up on the hierarchy. Natural selection is not significant on soldiers.

I'd just like to point something out because this seems to be difficult for some people to understand. Being gay does not mean you are actively with other people of the same sex. The word describes the the person, not their behavior. You can have a gay person who has never been in a relationship nor has had sex.
So if a "gay" person has a heterosexual relationship, either they are bisexual, or they are in denial, or they are still in the closet, but it does not make them straight.
