@zcrosby - Christopher was almost killed by Junior in the 1st series, until it was for Livia that she spoke well of him. Instead the two Russian guys just roughed him up a little. Also Christopher and Paulie being stuck out in the woods with the Russian guy running around, almost froze to death. Also being robbed and bashed by those Hispanic drug dealers in Jersey when he was trying to score. And if you think about it he could've been killed for what Adrianna did by informing the FBI.

Tony got payback on Raph, (who he hates) by pretending that he gave Jackie a pass....when he knew Ralph couldn't let it slide. This was an ingenious way of hurting Ralph, by leaving Jackie Jr.'s death entirely on his conscience. This was obvious....it even says so in the DVD commentary

i think tony left it up to ralph cuz he knew ralph would have him killed and it stick with ralph and no one else, that whole season was great, the stuff with tony and gloria, paulie and chris lost in the woods, the fbi bugging tonys basement, all the shit with ralph, great season and any scene with adriana is great

he knew that they were robbing a card game just like tony and jackie sr did back in the day.

tony knew jackie jr made the desicion to go mafia instead of doctor and college student.

tony always had sooo much love for jackie sr.. he would never be able to kill jackie jr. he just let it be... knowing that jackie jr chose the life he chose

Jackie Junior was never gonna get a pass for shooting up that card game.

Furio was shot in the leg and left with a limp, Christopher himself was shot at, and one of the regular players(non-connected guy) was killed.

Nah, Tony never really told Ralph it was okay to give Jackie a pass, even if it seems like he did.

Yeah, I just don't think Tony really ever meant any of that. I think it was just his way of telling Ralph that it was his girlfriend's kid that did this, so he was gonna have to set it right.
