allen hasn't made a decent film for years. i'm a huge woody allen fan but even as a fan i recognise his output in the 70's and 80's was superb. he had sporadic flashes of creativity in the 90s. but now his stuff is really dull, predictable, pretentious and self indulgent. he needs to stop churning out mediocre films about the same neurotic characters every single year, slow down, draw on some new influences and work with some new talent that can help with the plots and motifs. a faded king.

I liked the movie Anything Else... and Vicky Cristina Barcelona "The Movie they try to make fun of in the sketch" won an Oscar and 19 other awards. I'll agree that his movies aren't near as good as they were in the late 60's to the late 80's, but perhaps Woody Allen is incapable of writing what he use to, but that doesn't mean he should stop writing movies. He's an interesting person, and I think he'll put out at least one other gem before he dies
