In my personal opinion, the Cummins engines are the best deisel engines you can get. The inline 6 configuration is phenominal in performance. If you're familiar with a Supra and R34 Skyline, you'll know what I'm talking about. I've heard from lots of people that the older Rams had issues with the transmission, but I wouldn't know from personal experience. I have a Ford, and I love it.

yes i say outta the three diesel engines duramax powerstroke and cummins cummins is the best i own a 2001 dodge 3500 and i love it havent had one problem with it the only thing i would look for is that some cummins have stick shift and some dont all depends on what you want

I dont have one but I know 3 people with them 2 have 5spd trans and never had trouble but the one with an automatic is replacing or rebuilding his every 100,000-150,000 until he put a ats trany never had any morer problems and his truck has 1,200,000 miles and pulls a horse trailer all over the country

im wanting to buy my dads 96 12 valve it's in good shape, gets awesome mileage.  but theirs an 01' regular cab 5 speed down the road for $16,000 im sure i could get it down to $15,000 but what i want to know is if $15,000 is worth it or not. im only 17 years old and part of me is saying just go buy it because it's a beautiful truck and i can't stop thinking about it. but that's alot of money for an 01' with 190K on it. anyway im torn and i need some people to help me decide.
