well i saw in an interview online that pat had left the band because he was tired of craig and once he joined youth he felt like he was "part of the team more" and that there was nothing for him in the vines
Although this isn't nearly as classic or entertainingly awesome as the Letterman performance, it sounds better. If THIS performance had occurred on the Late Show, they might have sold more records and shit. That doesn't matter to me though, because i think what he did was timeless and fuckin rock n roll man.

David was only there during the recording of the first album highly evolved, he then quited because he did not want a touring life,
Therefore they found hammish.
