I've never had any idea what i want to do when Im of age, everyone else seems to have a particular thing that they excel in- Benedict- Art, Matt- engineering, Peter- computers, but Ive never had anything that stands out, naybe something in film editing?
I would never do what my mum does- she goes round old peoples houses and takes blood and tests for infections and things- im far to squeemish, my dad works in a college- I wouldn't really fancy that either.
i think it was mr royale that said that 50% of jobs that will exist in 10 years time haven't been invented yet, so i wouldn't sweat it. I suspect you will make of the world what you wish. Keep exploring, keep your mind open... you'll know when the time comes :)
Thanks for coming back to this... seriously, thanks. I did get to speak to a Minister, one tagged for potential leadership of the party and potential PM material, but it was too brief. Will keep you posted of progress. :)
A human body is so fragile that it can not sustain it self alive as it is. We constantly need to make sure it gets what it needs to survive. Working means sustaining one self and other people alive, and help in maintaining ones own well being and well being of others. The problem is that some humans do not know what well being all means, as they can be confused with religion, faith, politics and much more which makes humans judge other humans negatively. May there be peace among humanity. :)
The actual work to keep us healthy is actually very little. We are spending a lot more time doing other things which is not about satisying needs but encouraging wants. Not even wants that are like ideals, but cheap, plastic wants.
To go to work means to make effort in helping other people to sustain them self alive. When we go to work we help other people, both those who live now and those who will be born in future. We today can thank everyone who lived before us for all the things we have - in same manner what we do now, and ever day is of huge importance for everyone and each of us. To work is to help others. Enjoy doing good deeds. :)
I like this a lot. To be of service. I live that now more than ever. I was offering my service as a teacher, and now I am doing so with adults. However, the system of money-relationships has been gamed. People who honestly serve end up working and not for the benefit of others. I know friends who provide services for those in need directly and they are very, very tired. It need not be like this.
i would not like to work for the government i would much rather to be self employed, my own boss but at the end of the day you have to work, or do you? if i had a chance and plenty of money i would rather do what i want for the rest of my life but i dont have the money or what not. working i think means using your skills and knowledge and using them in a job to get money, time and effort goes in money comes out. parents and adults proberly think of work as hell bus some people love it? get it?
the whole thing about work and money is interesting...
your little function machine
(time + effort -> money)
is a good one
i like the idea we do things we want to, and we have a minimal system where we get the things that need to be done, done. Like washing dishes, cleaning clothes, etc. Simple stuff, doesn't take too long. Then the rest of the time is ours to do with what we wish.
