It will be a dark day for ALL of us if this man wins. It is not just a Republican or a church thing; Santorum has frequently stated that he does not believe a "right to privacy" exists under the Constitution, even within marriage. The Republicans running for President also talk about “their” faith. But if you are not of that faith, you may be a danger to the country. This man will be a danger to all of us. We need to start looking at what is best for the country. We are all in this together.

Rick Santorum is free to disagree with the lifestyle choice of homosexuality. Anyone who spreads hate at this guy is the same as those who do the same to gays. There is no context to his previous statements here...he was merely reiterating what the catholic church describes as a perversion. He is the real deal...no contraception, no abortion or quitting on the life of his disabled child. Someone who respects life and the sanctity of human sexuality is enlightened, not ignorant.

@jballski The problem is that Rick Santorum wants to have religious freedom only for himself and nobody else. He is free to live under his particular choice of personal beliefs, but he wants the government to constrain other people from exercising their constitutional right to be devout but not necessarily Catholic, agnostic or even atheistic. His platform is to advance only one religion --- his own --- and nobody else's. He is truly ignorant of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

It has been proven more times than not though that those who speak out the loudest against something are actually trying to justify the hate within themselves.

There are endless examples of those who speak out the most against gays end up being gay themselves. It it almost like they are fighting publicly a very personal battle withing themselves. Look at George Rekers, or John Paulk. Both were prominent members of the Ex-gay / Gay repairtive therapy club sponsored by the Religious right.
