  • Excellent looking ground

  • Lucky for us vick broke that bad boy in this year

  • This stadium is great. But NY has bad weather during the gridiron [ NFL] season so why has it not got a roof? Anyway it looks great.

  • What do you lot do when it rains? In most other stadiums around the world the fans are under cover which has the added benefit of retaining the crowd noise and adding to the atmosphere of the occasion. Also biggest isn't necessarily best. For me baseball stadiums have much more character and intimacy (at least the old ones anyway) than your big, boring, corporate bowls that all look the same.

  • NO offense but Estadio Azteca can dominate all the U.S stadiums combined.

  • @guy2008rules And who are you to determine that?

  • Davis, Stroud to Miss Jets Game

  • Who has the biggest stadium anyone? I always assumed USA had stadiums for over 100.000 is this wrong? Just want to compare to our UK/Euro stadiums.

  • @terryfink North Korea has the single biggest stadium, but generally the USA has bigger stadiums than Europe. I believe that there are more 80,000+ stadiums in the US than all of Europe combined. It's actually one of the reasons why the '94 USA World Cup broke all records and hasn't been surpassed yet.

  • You New York fans suck. 67,000 for a jets-giants game in a new stadium. Both your teams playing. 67,000 in a 80,000 seat stadium. Green bay has about 1% of your population and sells out every game even pre season. You fans suck ass. The packers even get 70,000 for their annual packers vs packer practice game.

  • wish some one would build a modern soccer stadium

  • @thewitness2012 hey dumb fuck who won a playoff game this year? You guys chokes in your last game in that shithole

  • @Jarhead9383

won a playoff game. That's about as far as you guys ever go. Have fun with that.

  • Big waste of $1.6 billion. Went to The Eagles concert last night and sound was good, but they didnt utilize any of the 4 big HD monitors & the concourses were wider but the food selections sucked. The inside of the stadium is all neutral colors. Stadium has no identity & you don't feel like you are in the home of the Giants or Jets. Sight lines look like they will be good for football except the upper 300 level will give you a sore neck looking down. All the $ went into the boxes/suites/clubs!

  • @BABYBOYHOCKEY thats because it wasnt set obviously.. cause you were at a concert, my uncle helped build it, there a main switch basically that changes everything from green to blue and from jets to giants, they set it neutral for concerts, and again of course the food sucked.. your at a concert

  • @1revisisland hey fuckhead did u forget we own the record for largest crowd to witness a NFL regular season game in the US at some where around 108,000 ok?

  • @Jarhead9383 good for you and all those ppl saw your team choke as always

  • Thank you Roger Godell, you finally made a good decision. A real SB will finally be played, and not some" 70 degree weather picnic pick up game" which is what the previous games have been. This is what the NFL should be. The SB should never be played in baseball weather.

  • First event on that stadium may 7th soccer game Mexico vs Ecuador. Can't wait i got my ticket.

  • Damn Giants kept us from getting a roof. Their owners suck!!!

  • @Angrygumballl you know you love cold weather games

  • @gmenfan48 I know but I wanted a BCS Bowl Game.

  • @Angrygumballl u never know super bowls there and if the ncaa cooperates...

  • It will forever piss me off, that these two teams have the balls to call themselves NY Giants and NY Jets when their home field is in Jersey! Nothing against Jersey or her residents but these teams are no longer NY teams!!! Who the f##K are they kidding! Nice new stadium BUT IT"S NOT NEW YORK!! NYC no longer has a football team it hasn't since the 80's.

  • @louthebody - Like it or not the area where the stadium resides is considered the greater NY area, that is something you can either accept or ignore but it is reality. Manhattan casts a long shadow in every direction around it and that is why they are considered NY teams and neither will be changing their names. Fans from all over NY and NJ love both teams and their origins are in NY, so the heritage is there too. It is what it is.

  • @Cooleemee43 I understand, but it's still Jersey and the city didn't really leave the Giants much choice, However, what's the Jets excuse? There was nothing wrong with Shea Stadium at the time. What the bathrooms were dirty? that's a poor excuse or Pat Lahey(sp?) didn't like kicking into the sweet sour winds? Get another place kicker. Anyway it's like you said, It is what it is. I was just having a rant. Nothing i can do about it anyway. :)

  • the outside is ugly but im sure its gonna be nice in there. not that i like domes but why would they say the new stadium is a chance at getting a superbowl with no roof?

  • Sucks to have to share stadiums just like with the Lakers and Clippers. They try to do that with Niners and Raiders but the Niners and Raider Fans hate each other.

  • sorry to break it to you guys but soccer is the world most played sport in the world so talk about soccer

  • I don't even like domed or roofed stadiums real football players play outside and real NFL fans come no matter how cold or far you cowboy fans are fat rich rednecks who cry when something doesn't happen along with the packers and steelers no mascot no cheerleaders and no roof plain fun old football

  • lol come to down here

  • @thewitness2012 maybe rednecks but fat and rich??? haha yeah right, wtf do you think NY is full of????

  • @jarteaga87 at least our ppl can fill the stadium more than circus stadium that averages 70,000 we can fill our stadium and how are new yorkers fat and rich since 90% of the driving is taxies or most ppl are walking unlike in dallas ppl drive ive been there as a giants fan and you fans are sorry excuses for football fans in our games we arent satisfied by 1 playoff win in 16 years our team has loads of history since 1925 your team fans are simple and have no balls to boo and tell them to improve

  • @thewitness2012 1925 huh? Well the boys have been a team since 1960, and how many championships do yall have? oh and we about to get our 6th one this season as well, hate it or love it man...

  • @jarteaga87 the giants have 7 championships lol there were championship games before the super bowl smart ass and the cowboys have 5 how sad

  • sorry bro but we aint counting those SB's only

  • @jarteaga87 i know we should count all the championships cause thats like saying football didnt exists b4 the super bowl

  • @jarteaga87 Your comment is 3 months old, so i'll forgive you for thinking the Cowboys might actually be good (only cause ur a cowboys fan, so you have no other choice) but 1-6 doesn't seem like a championship season to me. It's funny though, because i'm sure Cowboy fans are going to be like "Romo got hurt, that's why the cowboys suck this year" and the fact is the Cowboys were 1-4 and on the verge of going 1-5 BEFORE Romo was hurt. So sad for Dallas, only 1 playoff win in the last 10-15 years

  • @Fish61324 if you actually went all the way back to reply to my comment then you must by from NY its ok bro its ok

  • @Fish61324 Ready for another ass whooping this week?

  • Look at the attendance of the new cowboys stadium one game was around 70,000

CHCHCHAHAHAHH if you build it, umm they still won't come!

The Jets attendance never fell lower than 75,000 and the Giants never fell lower than 78,000 for the season, and thats out of 80,000 seats

New Meadowlands stadium has 82,500 seats and every game for Giants and Jets will be sold out next season

  • @1revisisland sold out becasue its a new stadium, not because of the teams

  • In New York we have things called Unions unlike Texas our workers make good money so it cost more to build things here.

Why pay $100 to go to a game and have to watch it on a big TV because you cant see the feild.

  • @bball----yeah I'm sure Mark "100 yds/gm" Sanchez is better than Romo....check the stats idiot

  • sorry to break this to ya....But that shithole you guys call new stadium is soooo Crappy

  • your mothers bj's are crappy

  • @DCfan972 Your such a typical Cowboys fan...thinking you will always have the best team no matter how your season goes. Seriously I've been to a cowboys giants game and the fans are so ignorant and retarded...sure Giants fans swear, pick fights, throw beer bottles and boo their team when they lose, but at least were not ok with one playoff win after several years of choking. You Cowboys fans make me laugh with your "team spirit". P.S. Giants fan and season ticket holder for life!!!

  • what will be the name of the stadiam

  • 0:54

  • Hmm... Google image search "heatsink" and VOILA! New Meadowlands.

Seriously, the lead designer's vision is about as exciting as the A/C compressor whirring outside my house.

  • Oh, I couldn't help but come back for a side note: 1.4 billion dollars? Really? For that you could buy 10 F-22 fighters. Unlike the "Jets" stadium, they would be able to move at twice the speed of sound and blow shit up. Much more exciting than a large air conditioner.

Jet fighters not your taste? For the same price as New Meadowlands, you could have built your own Burj Khalifa, the TALLEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD. One is 2,700 ft while the other is 100 and they forgot to put a ROOF on it

  • Nice stadium.

But I can't help but wonder why both teams couldn't push for a stadium somewhere within NYC and not across the state line.

  • @29Texan there were plans to make a jets stadium in manhattan but tht was shot down by the community

  • they need to put a roof on that stadium. bottom line.

so it can actually be a candidate for future superbowls & players would suffer less injuries due to noninfluencial weather

in addition, the stadium should've been as close as possible to NYC so the fans have better access to it. doesn't have to be necessarily in manhattan.

and make the stadium accessible to a subway station, or build a train route from the NYC to NJ & to the stadium.

this stadium couldve been a better investment

  • the stadium is actually very accessible . i know for a fact that a train station was put in, because i walk past it every time i go to a game. it has been in place since the start of the season. and im not sure about a bus route, but im sure if you look hard enough you can find it. the teams attempted to move the stadium to nyc and it failed miserably. logically, they used the land they had and built an incredible stadium

  • Hey, OPrankster69 I agree with you that there should be a retractable roof like on the new cowboys stadium or Lucas oil field. but the jets/giants said that they didn't want a retractable roof, as it mite interfere with the players-idk.

second, where in nyc r they gonna make a stadium? East Rutherford, NJ is minutes away from Midtown Manhattan.

Finally, the NJ Transit built new train tracks two the stadium/rest of Meadowlands Sports Complex.

This stadium is better than the new cowboys stadium!

  • well in nyc there's many old buildings that looks like they're gonna crumble.

so i dont think its a bad idea to tear down some old buildings in harlem to make room for the stadium.

but i think you're actually right cuz the ONLY difference is a few minutes.

i still think the roof could've made it a better investment because you can have concerts and events there that'll bring in a bigger fan crowd than in small MSG

  • @bballmasters88 My ass

  • @DCfan972

I'm guessing your a Dallas Cowboys fan. Ok I'll admit that they are the STUPIDEST franchise ever. Why build a new stadium, when your old stadium was perfectly fine, Jerry Jones should have invested in getting a good QB. Because, Tony Romo sucks, and Eli Manning/Mark Sanchez are way better than him. At least the Giants won the Superbowl a couple of years ago...

Dallas Cowboys= rich but spoiled franchise.

  • @bballmasters88 dumbass our old stadiums older than yours, texas stadium opened in 1971 giants stadium opened in 1976, and how do you lose 41-9 to the panthers, we beat them 21-7. And elis better?

  • @DCfan972

Who cares if your Texas Stadium opened a couple of years before Giants stadium. Yea we lost to the Panthers, but the Giants didn't try this year, and it was like the first time for them not making it to the playoffs in 5 years. Which that 5 year period included NFL champ game, and the superbowl And yes Eli Manning is better than Tony Romo because at the end of the day, even by a lucky David Tyree catch-Eli Manning has a ring (superbowl), and superbowl mvp-unlike Tony Romo.

  • @DCfan972 we lost caus ewe wernt getting to da playoffs anyway mite a well move up in da draft nd get a better pick rite?

  • Will the New Meadowlands Stadium have Dome? i can't see the Super Bowl Committee picking it as 1 of 4 locations being played in it if it does not have a Dome in January and February. No way they will with Snow and Crap on open field being risked.

  • Dallas

    Cowboys stadium FTW

  • hell yeah!

  • they should let the jets keep the old one then the ginats get the new that way they dont have to share stadiums any longer

  • it has 82 500 seating + 9300 club seats. In total is 91800. It's OK, a real STATE OF ART.

  • Cowboys Stadium $1.15 billion - 110,000 capacity - state of the art video screens - state of the art venue - RETRACTABLE ROOF!!

Meadowlands Time-Share - 380 Million MORE expensive - fewer seats - average video screens - no roof in a much worse climate.

WTF? Why 2 NFL teams can't build something that at least comes CLOSE to Cowboys Stadium is beyond me.

  • @MOJODOG LOL. You can't count the 20,000 standing people who pay $25.00 to stand in the upper deck and watch the jumbo tron.

  • I've been one of those people and it should count. It was better than the "nosebleed" seats at most stadiums. Besides, the regular seats are on rails that can be placed closer together to fit close to 100K seated. (Superbowls, Final Fours, etc.) The "jumbotron" has to be seen to really be appreciated. It transforms the whole concept of viewing a game.

Regardless, Dallas got a dramatically better stadium for dramatically less money.

  • It's not a real seat to me if you can't see the field and when you walk off to get a hotdog or use the bathroom, you end up finding somebody else in your spot. Sounds more like tailgating to me.

  • Say what you want about the Party Pass. Call it tailgating if you choose, but tailgating where you can see the field beats a parking lot any day. For $29, its a great deal if you can't afford a regular seat or like the "sports bar with a field view" experience. If you don't like it, just buy a regular ticket like everyone else.

The point was, why is the Meadowlands stadium so much more expensive and why didn't they put in a retractable roof to give them more options?

  • Football is meant to be played outdoors in the elements (rain, wind, snow). Not indoors with heat and air conditioning. C'mon... really?

  • @MikeBCarver true but then you got people crying on how their team lost due to the weather, its only fair to play in a domed stadium, just because the packers are used to playing in freezing weather, and the dolphins are used to playing in nice miami weather dosent make it right for them to lose because of snow

  • tell me what do the number of seats have to do with the quality of the stadium, and btw football is a cold weather sport ,dome teams are soft and i consider a retractable roof the same as a dome

  • they should really have too different stadiums for the giants and jets..its kinda stupid they have to share

  • its saves money thats all i gotta say

  • no roof in new york! hahahhahaha

  • Are they going to move Jimmy Hoffa to the new stadium?

  • NO ROOF LOOK CHEAP

Allianz Arena stadium look fucking awesome

    Meadowlands Stadium (80,000 seat)

    cost $1.6billion (USD)

    Allianz Arena stadium (66,000 seat)

    cost $500million (USD)

    Ehhhh WTF

  • Its pretty funny that this was posted November 21, 2008. And in the video they said that the Giants and Jets are the best teams in there own divisons. And as of right now as I am posting this comment they are the best in the NFC East and AFC East because there both 3-0.

It would be so cool if their was a Jets vs. Giants Superbowl since this is their last season at the good ol' Giants Stadium.

  • Waaaaa Giants always been running the NFC east and The Giants/ Jet fued so all u dumb idiots that wanna babble a bunch of bullshit shut the fuck up and keep it real stick to reality GIANTS RUN THAT SHIT!!!!

  • Curious when u say RUN THAT SHIT! What do u mean cuz there is really no Giants/Jets feud. Do u mean the NFC EAST or running a team (JETS) who u play every 4 years in the regular season.

  • Cowboy fan's should mind there business and asshole Giant fan's should shut up & thank the Jet's for HELPING them build a new stadium in the Meadowlands. We only put up half a fucking billion toward's it's construction so we OWN half of it ! Like it or not "Little Blew fans" Now I know why Eagle fan's HATE both of you ASSHOLES!

  • ok jets and giant fans really should just get together and b mad at ny because we cant build a stadium here but they can build 2 new baseball stadiums

  • the new Cowboys stadium blows this stadium away and I'm saying this as a Giants fan

  • Only because The Cowboys built the roof which allowed them to hand the HD screen up there.

  • Comment removed

  • Then why dont you stay at your pretty stadium.

    fuckface.

  • @GJR1980

Exactly why Giants fans are stuck up and ignorant

And these words are coming from a New York Sports fan.....

All NY teams are good cept the Islanders.

New Yorkers, stop being little babies. I'll be honest, this season the Jets will be better than the Giants. Period.

The Mets are fucked again =(

    The Islanders are fucked XD

The Rangers will blow shit up X-D

    The end.

    Jets Giants Super Bowl Anyone?

  • fuck the jets, this stadium should be only for the giants

  • IT WAS TIL JETS STADIUM WAS FOLDED

  • cool man i hope the titans dont get rid of their stadium cuz i looooovvvveee it

    TITANS#1

  • send all the workers to the bay area so we can get that 49er stadium built. Impressive stadium for the new york fans and holy shit on the new cowboys stadium !!!!!

  • you guys have got every thing new lol jersey helmet and im not sure but i heard even logo

  • i agree im a jets fan but an nfl fan first and ive seen the 49ers stadium in madden games and if its accurate you do need a new stadium thats what happens when you mix football with that lame crap known as baseball

  • Go Cowboys!

  • ah i hate it that its new york giants and its in new jersey god way to make our taxes go up and make it a mess. with both stadiums, xanadu, izod, the racing track and there is so much going on its crazy

  • oh yea u jersey people are complaning about taxes lol in new york its more of a mess with the New Yankee stadium, citi field and now they want to build a arena in Brooklyn 4 the nets

  • The Jets belong on Long Island or Queens with there own stadium not in Jersey. Id rather see the Jets play at Citi-field ( if a football field fits).

  • Hey latinluigi,

football was meant to be played outdoors not in a gym. There's a reason the stadium is open air, so dome teams like the Cowbillies will freeze their @sses off when they show up. So they will be more worried about keeping warm than winning the game.

  • When the game is over in Dallas what are you going to do? What is Dallas famous for? When a Giant game is over you can go to a broadway play, fine dinning, catch a Yankee or Knicks game, go shopping on 5th Ave, head down to AC to the casinos. Wonder why the draft is held in NYC and not in Dallas?

  • is it gonna be that horrible field turf??? i think they need separate stadiums, cheap bastards!!!!

  • this stadium doesnt even compare to the new texas stadium. texas stadium is gonna be a palace. its a shame ill never go there :(

  • Okay bro you enjoy watching your same old overrated mediocre cowgirls, new stadium same results no playoff victories or they will miss the playoffs.

  • its the same piece of shit as giants stadium i expected more than an open roof piece of shit like that i feel bad for the VAgiants and the jets once every other team builts new stadiums of their own that crappy stadium is going to be the only one with an open roof while you dumbasses are freezing your asses off im going to be at the new cowboys stadium warm and toasty enjoying some good old football!!!

  • why they dont use roof?

  • jets r sorry as hell

  • wanting new friends

im on cam and bored cO

  • I just checked out the new stadium. It looks cool, although the way it's placed right next to the old stadium, you'd think they would make the new one an old personal stadium for the Jets.

  • nice stadium

  • I was checking this out when I was up there in September and was very impressed on the effort.

  • Can't wait for the Stones to rock it.......

  • They should move Jimmy Hoffa's body there

  • Never gonna find him.

  • I guess we'll find out....LOL
