  • Lasers are best for when you and/or your target are moving. It allows you to focus on your target rather than focus on lining up the shot.

  • that guy at the start of the video needs to get a better grip on his pistol hes holding it way to low

  • @567WORMBOY123 Where did you learn that, CoD?

  • @dauransx no but nice try at an insult, maybe when you put down your controller and go out shooting someone will tell you to core ct you shooting grip, clearly you don't shoot or if you do you never received proper instruction in it, but that doesn't surprise me, stupidity is on the rise, its only natural you fall into the statistic

  • @dauransx by the way nice collection of airsoft vids on your file ;-)

  • If you are in a low light condition searching for a target and you might be afraid of giving away your position, you turn the laser off.

Must get one of this babys!!!!!

  • @ 0:32

That grip is kinda akward and is surely innacurate...

Even if you have a laser on the gun, it won't help to get steady shots!

    Otherwise, product looks awesome!

  • enemy aim in you (laser reveals you spot)

  • it makes u aim better

  • Wheres the blue laser? Found it XD /watch?v=JkkK-XSPMxw&feature=relmfu

  • Wheres the blue laser?

  • they said "more accurate" hahaha ... if you can't shoot, the laser won't get the target for you

  • The dislike bar is the two ppl who still think red lasers are better... but everyone that knows green is the way to go went for the green side of the bar :D

  • But u dont want people to see ur laser if ur in war.

  • thats the reasons they use lasers on tasers. intimidation and quicker target aquisition. I think lasers are an essential tool for pistol training because it lets the trainer see exactly how the shooter handles recoil, how they get back on target etc.

  • just bought one (x5l) for my g30 fucks with me :D

  • Must. have. take. my. money. ahhhugghhh ahhhhhhhhhh

  • As of now I have a tons of panel that needs to be built MCC

  • i bought one i experienced similar problems to other people.....it scratches kinda deep in the railings ...

  • I WANT ONE!!!

  • what abought a blue lazar

  • i wont one for my 380.

  • I like this.

  • Damn i want get one for my h&k usp .45 subcompact but still looking to see if i find a better one

  • they need to make one for the new beretta 96a1

  • it's great because nobody expects a laser sight to be green :)

  • I rock 2 of them on my m4 and also have the red dot from my ACOG, it really gets the wife intrested in shoting and also makes it fun for any friends to grab my AR and rock some rounds through it....Green lasers purchased from suspected Taliban member in Jalalabad, Afghanistan for 35USD each, ACOG was a donation from the ARMY :} (beat that priceline)

  • 532nm is an "ideal" wavelength, but it just happens to be the wavelength it is lasing at with frequency doubling. 555nm is the peak response of human eyesight.

  • The very fact that the green laser is 'brighter'...is the very reason you should not get one. Why? Because your 'target' will be able to track YOU same as you're able to track them (in other words, 'they will see your bright-ass laser' and be able to see where you're shooting from in order to return fire!). It's better to just have 'glow in the dark 3-position sights' on your gun. At least your target cannot see where YOU are at!

  • @CLANKILLASDOTNET You make sense but if you in a situation where it is dark where u can't see your target even having the glow in the dark sights wont make a difference. You will be able to see the sights perfect but if you still cant see what you are shooting at then then sights are useless.

  • @razoredge435: NOTED. I add this: I'd rather not be able to see them 'and they not be able to see ME', then for it to be the other way around with a bright-ass green laser giving my position away. Besides, the 3-dot position sights on your gun (like CLANKILLASDOTNET is trying to explain!), will allow you "perfect aim" of whatever you 'are' shooting at without giving away your position. I'll be 'Predator over Prey'...any day, for me.

  • @razoredge435: You're making NO SENSE whatsoever. Look at the video again (above). Now put your cenario of both of you not being able to SEE each other. Now turn on your bright-ass green lazer (like in the video above!) and just imagine that you are the other party 'still in the dark' ~ I could put 5 rounds into the guy with the lazer before he even SEE's the flashes of my gun.

  • @CLANKILLASDOTNET

If you can't see them, and they can't see you, then I would suggest just waiting for them to leave. If neither of you are going to shoot, no problem.

Additionally, unless the area is full of smoke, you will only see the laser emitter if it is pointed directly at you. It's already over by then, usually.

  • @mrvenom88 That's what I said (quote: '...scenario of both of you not being able to see each other...'). But your second paragraph makes no sense to 'my example' because you are ASSUMING that the guy with the lazer sight can see the other person! In my example, "neither can see" but if the one with the lazer turns his lazer on (still not able to see the other guy!), then the other guy can suddenly see HIM, hence putting 5 rounds into the guy with the laser ~ READ PEOPLES POSTS BEFORE YOU REPLY.

  • Laser/light combo or no, Being woken in the middle of the night to the sound of broken glass realizing that someone has broken in your house, then reaching for your gun, going out to investigate in the dark, only to find out that it was your drunken son that dropped a glass of water. You aim and almost shoot .(DOPE!) Or using the XL5 not in this video, you use the momentary light to realize it's your son. Scared the piss out of him..literally. anyone thinks they can shoot in the dark?

    Be wary.

  • that guys grip from 0:29 - 0:35 is garbage....look how much space he leaves at the top of his grip

  • the pointer is too big, i think its the only downside of this laser

  • i say a laser on your ass is a laser on your ass nomater what color it is its you ass

  • @whatsmyname252 WOW....that THAT is the most wasted space I have ever seen! Wait to go....I hope you aren't got enough to have a gun....you may shoot yourself....not that that would be a bad thing, but the mess!!! I wouldn't let your mom clean it up!

  • @truesignabove i would go to school and learn to spell better before you comment

  • @truesignabove aw you old bastard cursing me like this nobody needs you opinion .... crippled old sob ... better not step to me old bastard

  • can these fit on glock 26

  • @561sage

Nope there is no rail on the Glock 26.

  • @redvexx yea i know. i have to buy one.

  • @561sage

Your going to buy a rail for the baby glock?

  • @redvexx yea there only 50 buks.. why?

  • thats why the Lanters are green

  • why not make it blue then

  • @rushofspeed because hen it would be closer to ultraviolet, which is also invisible to the human eye.

  • looks kool but it gives away position

  • cool story bro!

  • How is green better than no pupil enlarging red?

  • how come there arnt any blue lasers

  • @paintballhead03 There ARE blue lasers. But they aren't as "see-able" to the human eye. A lot of blue lasers are very bright, but that's because they're more powerful. With the same amount of power in the laser, the green ones will seem brighter. They're also less expensive to manufacture than blue lasers.

I'd love a blue laser just for mood-lighting, but the green is better.

  • the green stands out like a spot light over red too

  • that's the brightest and clearist laser i've seen so far, even in daytime light...great for home defense for me. Since most people like to try and break into your home at night and light is very low.

  • The ability to focus your eyes on your target instead of the front sight of your weapon is a massive advantage. folks laser sights replace the built in steel sights. They arent designed for stealth. Besides, you can always just not turn your laser on, if you REALLY think you need to get the "drop" on the bad guy.

  • i just think having a visible lazer looks more bad ass

  • i think this would be a great homedefense tool but in tactical situations not so great that beam is whats going to get you killed...

  • @Popsicle22754 Luckily the beam is attached to a gun. Of course they "bad guy" might shoot you, but if that was his intent, do you think a less accurate shot from you because of stress and focusing on your own gun instead of him is an advantage?

Just don't buy one. If you absolutely must, then don't attach it to your gun. If you absolutely must attach it to your gun, then don't turn it on. If have no choice but to turn it on, then shoot the other guy first.

  • "More accurate"

I take it he means that green lasers are straighter than competing products.

  • blu ray is even better...lol

  • Why would you want a laser that everyone can see the beam. Sure it may be used in a close quarters of your home. But if the bad guy is in another room and you are coming down the hallway he will know you are coming before you enter the room. So he will either run or wait just around the corner and kill you when you enter. 90% of the time it is a great attachment. 10% of the time you are dead.

  • I feel like if someone was breaking into your house, and you didn't want them to know where you were, this might be the worst thing to have on your gun..but it would be cool to use at the shooting range.

  • I agree if you have to go out into the bush and use a laser you might want to save a round for yourself when you give youself away.

  • If you want to see a REAL bright green laser look at my channel laser74hobby

  • The stream of laser light can easily gave away your position.

  • this may be a stupid question, but if your red/green color blind can you still see the green one better than the red? the green one looks yellow to me, and the red one still looks red.

  • actually a very good question, yes you should still be able to see green better than red. It doesn't matter how you perceive the color.

  • I took a gamble on one of these. It worked for all of 10 minutes. Buttons are tiny and flimsy. Wouldn't shut off so removed the battery then it wouldn't turn on again. I returned the piece of crap.

  • @countrad so they suck i figured that lasers in my opinion seem to be more of showing off how much extra you spent on you dont really need none of my guns have one id rather have a flashlight on mine one it comes to it ur not gonna be thinking of turning on the laser plus it will give away your potision same with a flashlight but im getting one of those blinding ones for my shotgun thanx i might have just bought on for my sr9 or my 40 cal

  • @404040c Hey those strobe lights are sweet they help blind your oponent. best way to use them is place it as a decoy a few feet away from yourself but pointing at the enemy. The enemy shoots towards your light while you shoot at the blinded enemy. You know like in that fight scene in the movie kickazz. Hit girl is saving Big Daddy she does exactly that and takes a few of them out before they know what hit them.

  • Installing a laser can help a defensive pistol instructor identify problems with ones technique. But I must agree that this stuff is usually industry schwag that plays on the motivations of new buyers.

  • cool for range. but if i need a laser hit my target i don't need be shooting a gun that just me

  • The one negative thing I can say about laser sights is that every gun salesman tries to sell these to inexperienced shooters "Just put that dot where you want the bullet to go and pull the trigger!" they will say. What if batteries fail of you lose zero? Learn to use the sights supplied with the gun THEN buy a laser. If you can shoot without a laser then you wont be at a disadvantage WHEN the laser fails.

  • @R1alpha

Actually a laser is an excellent tool to teach you to point shoot. Point shooting in a defensive situation is way more useful then trying to grab a sight picture. Learn both.

  • I own and use the XD, however they should have used the Sig P series for this demo.

  • i have one for my glock 19 .. love it !!

  • remind me on RE4.

  • But the beam itself isn't daylight visible.

Why are the thirty-five dollar 5mW green laser pens sold on eBay daylight visible (with a beam visible at night for 5+ miles) when the Viridian, which costs $250+ is NOT daylight visible?

Nice idea if it cost less, but at almost three hundred bucks it looks like a ripoff to me.

  • @SororThothma all lasers need fog or debris to see the the beam

  • @coulditbekronau look up Rayleigh Scattering. Thats what allows you to see the beam of the green, blue and violet (532nm, 473nm, 405nm) lasers so easily at night, even without fog or smoke.

  • @SororThothma Those ebay lasers are usually 5-20 times more powerful then the ad says they are (25-100mW). They also almost never have a proper IR filter. That can make them an extreme eye hazard. A direct hit with a 50+ mW laser can cause permanent eye damage in milliseconds. treat those ebay lasers like you would a loaded gun.

  • if you JUST had a laser, that's a weapon in itself, a blast in the eyes leaves you seeing a big gree blob of light, and you can barely see form your peripheral eye sight, it's like mace, but no matter how strong to will is, you can't see shit for minutes.

  • I was hoping he'd shoot the tree...

  • okay green is my new favorite color.

  • I've debated getting a laser for my Glock for a while now, this one looks a little more capable then the other green lasers I've seen out there.

  • wow finally showed the advantage in under 15 seconds EXCELLENT and aside from green being the most visible color to the human eye, awesome!!

  • how much do they cost?

  • 350

  • 299 on their site

  • cool i like it,now all it needs is a real design

  • I'm not really impressed with the Viridian, it seems a bit bulky compared to the lasermax.

  • I agree, if they could turn this viridian system into an internal one like LaserMax, then I would be sold.......

  • 555nm is the most visible wavelength not 532nm

  • ..........exlpain to me how its more accurate?

  • because you're gonna be able to see it better making you shoot better.

that should be a no brainer.

  • Thats retarded. You shouldnt need a laser sight to hit an object the size of a person from 25 feet away unless your REALLY SUCK

  • the point isnt to be more accurate than the iron sights, its so you can see right where the bullet is gonna hit without having to move the sights into your view.

if you dont know the point of a laser sight then you probably dont know a whole lot about firearms.

  • if course you dont NEED a laser sight, but no it isnt for people who "dont know how to shoot". all it does it make you able to aquire your target quicker, wich could potentially save your life.

  • i know what they do.

  • clearly.

    (sarcasm.)

  • navy seals use them for close quarter, indoor comabt

  • must not have much instinct

  • I think that its up to a person if they want to spend money on a laser system. For what purpose is up to them. I personaly would use one if its for HD or if I had a CCW. It's a lot easier to point a laser at the hip when a perp is attacking, than having to bring up the sight.

  • yeah exactly, its much quicker.

  • Actually you would have to bring up your weapon, turn on the laser then acquire your target/perp and with the holster being a nylon system you would be dead if they had a weapon. Better use would be law enforcement where your after the intimidation factor or when you are surrounding the perp cuz anyone seeing this on their chest will most likely give up without a fight.

  • Watch the video. The Green light is more visible to you the shooter than the red one. Therefore allowing you to shoot better and become more accurate!

Don't get any plainer than that.

As you get better with repetition you can eventually turn the laser off and still get a good pattern group just from remembering the weight, range and overall handling of you gun.

    PRACTICE DOES MAKE PERFECT!

  • assuming that the "enemy" sees your laser and will "shot your ass", you, hopefully with the aide of the laser and hours of rangetime, will be able to "shot his ass" first. Target acquisition with lasers cannot be beat. try one. doesnt have to be green. and yes, if you are using a pistol and pointing it with a laser at an "enemy", your probably less than 50yds away, more likely less than 15. Youtube idiots dont understand how to use a laser. they are great for teaching those who anticipate recoil

  • also permitting your target to track u too.

    :-D

  • much more visible... easy for the enemy to see the green laser shot your ass

  • I think this is sweet, this would be perfect for a handgun. I think i might get one for my P22 that would be an amazing set up...and if you think green lasers suck, then you should take that gun and shoot yourself and do everyone a favor because your opinion doesn't matter.

  • green laser sucks

  • give away you position in battle booooo!

  • If you are using a pistol, you are most likely going to be close enough for them to see you regardless of a laser.

  • @WoWValmir unless your sam fisher

  • @WoWValmir yeah, laser just helps you so you don`t have to look trough the sight of the pistol all the time, because you see where the laser is pointing.

  • @WoWValmir Not if its in their eyes

  • you are an idiot

  • Who the hell taught this person how to hold a handgun? o_0

  • im gonna get a green one and throw my red one away because the green is MORE INTIMIDATING! Im sure that the guy on the recieving end of the laser will be shitting his pants regaurdless of what color the dot on his chest is!

  • Let me know where your going to be when you THROW AWAY your red laser sights. I can always use a good RED ONE as a back up to my green one. :)

  • I have one on my Paintball pistol

  • will this laser work with a airgun?

  • they have them for 20 bucks at walmart for air guns. they are red, but the work good.

  • is it possible to mount one on a paintball gun

  • doubt it would be effective

  • its it just me or does that have veery strong blow back?
