If your going to do a video go into details and show how to do the template using both Imperial & metric measurement, not everyo0ne is in the stinking UK area
The nail gun and the layout scratching will certainly mar the table surface, or am I missing something? And you are supposed to keep your hands on the router grips. You are asking for trouble if you are pushing it by the base. What if your fingers slip?
@1001steve1001 We're making a router table so a few nail marks are easily filled and the quickest way to get the job done. Otherwise if surface preservation was important we could have used double sided tape or use this method to create a separate template.
Fingers occasionally on the base help keep it stable and the cutter is totally confined by the template so risks are lessened. But yeah a centre stabilising piece is the recommended way to do this and keeps your hands on the grips.

What i mean is at 5:34
Wobbly wobbly. A supporting piece in the center would have prevented that.

i would stick a piece of the same mdf in the center to improve the stability of the routerbase.

@vankoperenNL
You don't need it if you can use a router.. This guys a bit sloppy..
All the pressure should be on your left hand holding down and your right hand should be used for motion and actually slight pressure upwards..
Get near the end and slow down.
