I mean, Honestly I don't want this sort of Culture in my Country, and lets face it, each Country Prides in their Cultures and History, they only move to European countries not to escape their Culture, but for a better Quality of Life, but they still want to bring their Culture into European Countries they go to, and honestly I think that is WRONG to have that kind of a Culture :S

This video and exposing myself and Katie exposing herself to an Islamic culture was not about what you can read in books or learn as a tourist. Its about taking it OFF the page, contextualizing it to NOW, not back then, NOW and living in it. If we all spent our lives restraining people to their past, we'd be lost. Much like you seem to be. Furthermore Islamic culture today has nothing to offer, in the past it had little to offer besides commentaries on Aristotle. That's the best Islam can do. And contextualise what? Why women are treated so poorly, why according to the latest Pew research poll the majority of the Muslim world would like apostates executed?

@ImaginedWriter So is your ignorance really bliss or is that just a myth? There are layers to everyone and every culture and every religion. Like, Im sure you have a much more creative vocabulary that this snippet of a comment of YT suggests. Similarly. what the media puts on the news about Islam is a small fraction of the story of Muslim people. Lessons from a Vagabond just seeks to remind people that there is always more to the story. I know more about Islamic culture than you can imagine, I've visited samarkand, seen the supposed beauty of Al Andalus, read the philosophies of Ibn Sina, seen the best frescos of the Safavids in Iran itself. And guess what I found it to be inferior to the works of the West. From the Riace bronzes to the David Europe far exceeds Islamic art in beauty and complexity. In philosophy and science we invented in Greece then reinvigorated it with Kant & Newton in the enlightenment. Islam is inferior.

@blehmeh03 Hey there! We are actually no longer in Istanbul. We got out of there after a week and have been in Olympos this whole time. Planning on staying here working for about 2 months total and then Im off to Germany. Its so relaxing and breathtaking here on the Turquoise Coast. We highly recommend paying a visit.

@LessonsFromAVagabond Oh wow, I didn't expect a reply so soon, thanks! I hope I can visit there but not sure if I would be able to (I'm not going as a traveller like you guys :( ). I plan on going to Istanbul for a few days and travelling to A couple of different cities for a week or so each and then returning back to Istanbul (and probably staying there for a month). I'll most likely be on a trip with a group too.. But I don't know what cities we will go to. I'll take a note of Olympos though
