First: It's not red hot. Liquid glass is red hot.

Second: Most hourglasses don't even use sand anymore; they use granulated plastic. It's cheaper.

Third: If, as you say, the "sand" inside melted into glass, why isn't the hourglass itself melted?

It's not vacuum sealed so there is air in it which contained water molecules. The heat turned the water into steam which gathered on the glass in the process called condensation.

dude the temperatures in a glass furnace would literally melt the microwave. The "sand" was more likely a synthetic polymer (plastic) and so melted or the liquid was the glue securing the glass to the metal case.

I think what this show is missing. Definable character traits. You guys pull off the 'everyday guys putting stuff in microwaves' vibe, but to a video audience, you don't have any real CHARACTER. Right now the most interesting character is the microwave. Have you considered picking a personality trait you identify with the most (preferably a negative one) and running with that? Just an idea.

A microwave would melt before it got halfway to those temperatures. That's the metals. The plastic would have long melted and unleashed some delicious radiation and toxic fumes upon you.

Admittedly, I'm a new fan, having only discovered the series about a week ago. I personally like the full intro and safety speech, but honestly the show is good enough that I'll watch regardless. The episodes I've sampled so far all seem pretty equally funny whether from season one or now. Just keep doing what you guys feel will produce the best show, and your real, non-whining fans will follow you. Keep up the good work.

I'm actually really happy with the current direction the series is moving. Personally, I'm fine either way in terms of layout. Whatever you guys are most comfortable with. We really can't see what's being microwaved, so the lighting should be increased. Otherwise, great job on a great video. :)

I dont expect things like the lighting, layout, or anything else to change this series as you've edited and filmed them all, but I think for series 10, you need to bring the old style back. Remember the express episode? You did that as a joke, and said you wouldn't do another episode in that style.. now we have a whole series like it.

I think I speak for most people when we say the show needs better lighting, and probably the older style back. Congrats on managing to survive 9 series though!
