Fact is that the English called all Vikings for Danes later on.. so it's pretty hard to know if it was Swedish, Danish or Norwegian vikings, or a mix of them all..

Recently a massgrave with 38 skeletons were found near Oxford, and after a DNA test they all turned out to be Danes who were massacred in 1022. DNA is so unique that it would be easy to single out a Swede amongst 99 Danes. But yes back then they couldn't tell the difference, but we can today :)
