  • 99MRPOGI@ LOOK AT THE THE GUARD HOLD THE COFFIN

  • RIP Mr. President and MS. Betty

  • RIPOSA IN PACE SIGNOR PRESIDENTE!!!!

  • President Ford was a very good man. I visited his gravesite in March of 2007 a few months after watching his funeral service on tv. It was sad. U rock Jerry! I adore your wife. She's pretty awesome to. God bless you and God bless America

  • @Mary4579 I also visited the museum a few weeks ago in Grand Rapids. Now Betty will be joining him soon.

  • THE BEST OF THE BEST PRESIDENT OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - THANK YOU VERY MUCH DEAR MR.PRESIDENTE GERALD R, FORD - R.I.P. - GOD BLESS AMERICA.

  • Poor Gerald Ford.... he did not receive a horse -drawn caissons or riderless horse like Reagan did.

  • @SnickleFritz79 He didn't want one. Interesting thing I learned: One of the first things the Military has a new President do when he gets into office is plan their funeral. The plans can always change, but when they go, the plans kick in!!

  • @SnickleFritz79 I think if I remember reading that he stated he didn't want the Presidential, respectfully, over the top funeral. Just a simple one with a service and burial. Of course because he was a former President they had to perform certain parts that comes with this type of funeral.

  • @SnickleFritz79 He didn't want to actually. In his will he specifically requested a simple(by Presidential standards) funeral. And his family honoured that.

  • What did he die of old age? I can't remember

  • @dcgj45 i think of old age. he lived to be 76 or 96

  • @2wakka4dis he lived up to the age of 93.. around 165 days longer than reagan

  • hail to the chief

  • I agree with people here, democrat or republican, this is a man's funeral, show some respect..

  • He was a good man and I adore his wife. Please show respect for him.

  • how does a video of a funeral turn into a battleground for politics? People show some decency and show some respect for the man!

  • Gerald Ford was the crooked tool who ever slithered down the turnpike. Good Riddance.

  • When the casket was being carried to the burial site, I heard the most beautiful choir singing ever in my memory. Almost brought tears to my eyes. Very very sad to lose a former president.

  • Why was there such a long delay in taking the former presidents body to the hearse?.

  • @Monrovia1 It's part of the stste funeral protocol i think.

  • Comment removed

  • Mrs. Ford looks close to collapsing from exhaustion and grief. What a brave lady.

  • Forgive my ignoraqnce, the elder being assisted by the soldier, was that Betty Ford? From Canada and was in Afganistan when this happened.

  • I'm a Canadian but I have respect for our nieghbores tothe south. When I heard Hail to the Chief, I almost cried!

  • What a great gospel song for a great President.

  • who the fuck was talking god damn that pisses me the hell off like seriously they dont have any respect

  • fuck you, they still enslave white people with mind control to this day. I have to say--he will burn in hell while worms eat him. The way it should be!!

  • President Ford had said before he died that he didn't want the complete state funeral honors. Also, they didn't do everything because of the time of year...January, with a temperature of thirty something degrees. It was probably easier for President Reagan in 2004 because his funeral was held in June with warmer weather.

  • I heard that too that he didn't want that and I applaud him for that. Simple and Sweet like the majority of the constituents he served funerals will be with, obviously Presidential touches to it.

You should have saved the words you wrote to NatesChannel. There's no use getting through to an ass that disrespects a former President's funeral just because it wouldn't make it on Entertainment Tonight's top 5 Fashionable Funerals.

His probably will fail more than yours and mine combined!

    lol

  • JesusLovesObama... that says it all. complete joke you are. Good luck in life you SAD PIECE OF SHIT

  • RIP Gerald Ford, just a total class act.

  • @daprez45 Yes he was! He was the Great Healer! I hope 20 years we can look back at other presidents and say they did the right thing like president Ford.

  • @howardm74 I agree. President Ford came into office under strenuous circumstances and managed to keep the Ship of State sailing forward. Despite these difficulties, which made the election of any Republican unlikely in 1976, Ford managed to fend off a strong challenge for the GOP nomination (Reagan) and nearly defeated the sanctimonious Saint Jimmy Carter in the general election. America would have been a lot better off with Gerald Ford still in the White House from 1977-81. RIP Mr. President.

  • @daprez45 YOU MEAN CLASS ASS!!!! LMAO

  • have some respect!

  • Why would anyone compare two different country's State Funerals. Each to their own history I say. Each are poignant onto them selves. A few years back Canada had its largest state funeral ever for P. M. Trudeau. It was grand and fitting for us. However if Comparisons are to be had it was small against Presidents and Kings, but no less meaningful. To compare is childless and unworthy.

  • i can tell you the name of the black woman you were talkin' 'bout & the name of the song. The woman's name is Denyce Graves & the song she sang was "The Lord's Prayer".

  • rest in peace mr. president

  • the funeral was sad. I watched it on tv

  • god bless you president ford may you rest in peace

  • He healed a nation, what a great man! We as a nation are lucky to have had him serve!

  • "Our funerals are better than your funerals..." What a smug, arrogant statement. Only a vulgar, stupid-ass would even think something like that. Sorry we don't deal in rule by divine right. Perhaps our funerals would be more up to your standards if we did.

  • I'd like to apologise for my fellow countrymans comments. I think US State Funerals are wonderful. Comparing the two is silly. What matters is they are both truey magnificant send offs for great and important people.

  • Whatever one thinks of Ford or Reagan, at least they got into their positions of power by their own merits instead of by being born into it. That's how republics work.

  • Well England isn't a republic it's a constitutional monarchy.

Ignore Yog though. I think US state funerals are wonderful events (despite the sadness of the death of someone like Ford or Reagan).

  • YogaNate79 you are a stupid Limey

  • I guess you voted for the other guy :-\

  • easyplex- Gerald Ford was never elected. When Nixon Resigned, Ford took his place. Mr. Ford was actually the only U.S president to have never won a presidential election.

  • negative ghostrider, check your history

  • No, soapistheenemy is correct

  • Andrew Johnson, John Tyler and Chester Arthur all served as president without winning an election.

  • thanks Stinder, for correcting the facts. I knew I was right

  • GodEatGods616,

I've already reported you to the FBI. You won't get away with your lies. You see, by posting the things you have on the internet, you have committed what is called a felony. You will go to jail!Oh and don't even try to delete your posts. Because first, YouTube has a back up server where all of your lying comments are kept.Second,it's not so hard for the FBI to get the IP addresses of everyone who posts on here. You will go to jail, and you may even end up paying fines and damages

  • dude. That is disrespectful. On a remembrance video for Gerald Ford. RIP Jerry

  • rest in peace

  • I LIKE THE HYMN HOLY ,HOLY ,HOLY .-

  • god bless you all!

  • where is the part wehre they bury president ford, and then they have the cannons shoot like 38 cannon balls or something and then the planes fly over, wehres that part?

  • He was buried at his Presidential Library, not in D.C. This is coverage from D.C.

  • I like comparing American state funerals to British state funerals. The traditions are so different. The Brits must thik it's odd to see different members of each service branch be the pallbearers. As an American, I find this perfectly fitting. At least we don't goose-step like the Russians.
