This is such a cute video! It warms my heart after seeing so many videos of people killing innocent bats! Just for the record though, you shouldn't pick up a bat with bare hands, because they may bite if they feel threatened and it's possible you could get a disease.

It's actually rare to get rabies from bats. This trick is to hold them by their wings so they can't bite you.

just to let you know.. it wasnt dead! it just didnt fly away when we took it up from the balcony. we reckoned that it was because around the balcony floor(which it was originally found) there were walls so it couldnt send out its ultra sounds.. so we took it up so that the walls didnt block and after a while it flew away! of course i'll never do anything against my conscience!

nope. the plastic bag just happened to be in his hands but he was not intending to suffocate it. the bat was alive and we thought it was hurt so we picked it from the floor. after which it flew away! i (or he for that matter) wouldnt have had the heart to kill such an innocent thing.. further more, in our chinese culture, Bat in chinese sounds like "prosperity"..so superstition has it that suffocating/killing would actually be bringing bad luck upon yourself.
